All is good and every thing is working just fine.

Where are we today ?
Yesterday we had an awesome sunrise, could not get all my pictures to load to Picasa so today all is good and we can show you the rest of what we did  yesterday and today.
wonderful sunrise yesterday
need a trailer and toy hauler ?
the back of Q Mountain
We took a drive and visited Gary and Pat from Ontario. They spend the winters here in Quartzsite. Have known them for years. So nice to stop and visit again, They heading out to work (volunteer) at the QIA soon so it was a short visit
Next we went to a great book store. Exchange 2 for 1. We took in 20 paper backs and got ten free! Picked out another 12 books so had fun browsing,  and for 18 dollars walked away with 22 new (to us) books that we like. Nope no Kindles or such we enjoy out paper back books still.
Suzie doing what she loves to do
While she did that I found the T handle hex keys that I have been searching for here. A whole set for only 8 dollars!
Then back home puttered around and opened a new bottle of hand soap. Have shown you before and will show you again. Drill a tiny hole in the very top and will not drip on your counter top.
Hand soap now is no drip
For thursday Happy hour I am making bacon wrapped scallops for "appies", so tasty an a really great snack for everybody.
precook the bacon on the Q
wrap the scallops with bacon and grill about 7 minutes
Happy hour done then can fire our Weber Q again for a perfectly done chicken, twice baked potatoes (that I prepped earlier) broccoli in foil and reheated some fresh tater buns for supper.
sure hit the spot
Now on friday headed into town for a few groceries and back to tour the tent once again.
regular mode of transportation here in the Q
Now we can head out to tour the big tent with not so many people early today.
the crowds are much less
Without the crowds we had time to check out the vendors and pick up a few good deals here. For a few hours. Them back home for lunch.
not a towed, but a spare set of wheels, too cool
After lunch checked out a few more tents for stuff. Nothing we needed except some hot dog buns.
Back home relaxed for a it and enjoyed a nice "social hour" with Rob, Pat and Lady girl.
Lady girl chilly , only 70f , such a suck..
Then we can fire up our Weber Q 100 to grill some hot dogs, stuffed with cheese and wrapped with bacon. Added to that some Kraft Dinner (Macaroni and cheese) for a simple, basic, quick and tasty supper.
Yummy, no peanut butter on my hot dog tonight (sorry Rick)
enough other stuff here tonight
There ya go another fun day in the desert     Thanks for stopping in today and hope you had a great day too!!!

  1. Sure wish I had some internet while we were in Q but I couldn't track anybody down. We're back in Yuma and finally got my internet issues fixed. We only went to the tent once and that was enough for me.

    1. We have Verizon Mifi and has been working wonderful no problems. After the first day we wandered the tent at the quiet times, easy to do when we can walk from our camping spot.

    1. We have been here enough times we know how to miss the crowds, and when to go to certain places. Lots of areas pretty close that you can have a quiet space all to your selves.

  5. Love the hot dog/cheese/bacon idea. Most try that. Sorry we missed the big tent this year, we must plan our dr. visits in Phoenix better next year. Becki

  7. Is that the naked bookstore owner's place? We were there in 2010. Books, books and more books...wow.

I love bacon wrapped scallops. I take bacon wrapped water chestnuts to many of our get togethers.

    1. This bookstore is at the other end pof town from The Oasis book store, (Paul Winer). We will stop by Paul's bookstore before we leave, he has a great selection of books but more expensive.

  11. Love the smart car on the back of the rig. No more worries about towing, the hitch failing, the front bumper tearing off, etc. I'll have to show Denis the solution to all our problems. LOL
