Where are we today ?
Last day of the Big Tent RV show and some deals to be had if you look about. Our friends browsed a bit and got some freebies. Yesterday Rob went over to check the price of new Brake assemblies for their 5er. They were discounted even more so he picked 4 assemblies for the price of 3 down here. And about 1/2 what he would have paid back home. Saved about three hundred dollars.
awesome deal on the brakes |
I checked the window guys this morning and they were hoping to get here today to repair two of our foggy dual pane windows.
So with that in mind we headed right away to the dump station, (its been 9 days) just in case they took the windows. Cannot drive the coach if we can't see out the side windows and mirrors. They pretty busy but things should be slowing down soon.
line up at the dump station |
17 rv's in line when we left |
Doggie fix for Suzie |
they brought their two standard poodles with them beautiful dogs. |
yummy garlic bread |
and a meat lovers, with olive and jalapenos on half |
no more pay phones |
nice late evening sky, no colors tonight |
so we made our own colors, a nice wood campfire, first one in the desert this year |
Another fun day in the sun we had, time just flies on by.
Thank ya'll for stopping on by for a visit again, hope all is well on your home front too.

Time does just fly by...I had to read several posts as I am way behind. Sounds like your time at the Q has been everything you knew it would be...lots of good friends, lots of bargains and yummy pizza!
ReplyDeleteAlways lots to se and do here, even some time to relax too.
DeleteGood food and a campfire-hard to beat:)
ReplyDeletePerfect weather for it too.
Delete$300.00 is a fabulous savings. Well worth the visit to the Q.
ReplyDeleteSure was a great deal thats was worth while.
DeleteI'm thinking the vendors will probably start reducing their items too since the Big Tent for 2014 is now history. We hit the dump yesterday morning too but when we got there there was only one other rig ahead of us. It'll be interesting to drive around today and see if it looks like a lot of folks have left.
ReplyDeleteQuite a few have left our area already and eve more this week.
DeleteThat garlic bread looks delicious.
ReplyDeleteYou two can sure squeeze a lot in on one day.
The garlic bread was awesome
DeleteWith getting up early we have a lot of hour to get things done in the day, and make to most of daylight hours.
Being in that dump station line would seem to take forever... may a well read a good book and just settle in for the wait, huh?
ReplyDeleteThats exactly what we do read our books make the wit go real quick. No matter we read here or at the campsite, we are at home.
DeleteThere must be many RVers leaving the Q. The shopping areas and highways here in Yuma were quite busy with RV traffic.
ReplyDeleteLots of Rv's leaving here all day heading every which way.
DeleteThat campfire in the desert looks so inviting! Hopefully we will meet you next year!
ReplyDeleteIt was excellent, would be great to meet you here or on the road.
DeleteWaiting in line for the dump ... interesting. I'm not sure I'm ready for boondocking but I'd still like to give it a try because it looks like fun.
ReplyDeleteNot a big deal for us waiting in line to dump. We at home, read our books , kinda like going to the laundry. Read a book and it goes real quick. We love the boondockng no reservations and so much freedom.
DeleteI remember those dump lines. Fortunately when we were in Q two years ago our MH was able to "hold it" until the lines went way down after the Big Show. But when we finally dumped, I swear I heard our MH say "Thank You". ;c)
ReplyDeleteWe are good for at least 10 days too, but the window guys are coming and we wanted to dump before our window we taken out. The lineup was not too bad, read a book and it goes quickly.
