Where are we today ?
What another wonderful we having today. Yep its cold overnight about 40f (great for sleeping) but as the sun comes up just awesome temps. Tha'ts what the desert does for us, and we love it.how is that for an awesome SUNRISE ! |
I-95 traffic back up about a mile heading into the show |
Our friends Rick and Suzie stopped by for a visit, full timers from California we met in Texas a few years ago. We are waiting for the Rv glass guys to assess our foggy dual pane windows.
They showed up and then we can meet Rick and Suzie by the Tent at the RV show. An ambulance and rescue unit pulled in as we got there. We see them a lot when we are here n Quartzite. Not unusual with a few hundred thousand rv'ers here and most 70-80 years old or more.
We wandered about the tent and vendors for a while, Ran into friends we camped with by the HOT SPRINGS near Holtville CA. Oscar, Judy, Don and Ailene. and were invited to join them at Silly Al's for supper tonight but we already had plans. (hate making Plans).Wandered about with Rick and Suzy, a bit more past Beer Belly's (A hopping place) and they got the most of the things they came here for.
great entertainment in lotsa places |
Enough fun for one day lets fire up our Weber Q grill a couple Apple Cinnamon sausage, wrapped with apple cinnamon bacon for supper.
Add to that a can of pork and beans on the Q, reheat a few crescent rolls I made earlier and we had a nice quick tasty supper.
A nice tasty, quick and easy supper tonight sure hit the spot.
Thanks for visiting us today in the desert, sure is a great winter here this year, wish you were here.

George! you're having tooooo much fun ... I"m getting kinda sorta jealous ... I haven't had pork n beans and sausages in eons... love that stuff.
ReplyDeleteWe like having toooo much fun, soon we gonna have to slow down and take it easy, and read for a while,I think.
DeleteThere are so many things going on. We definitely go to bed tired each and every night. Glad you're still enjoying yourselves. Folks who don't understand why people visit Quartzsite really don't get it.
ReplyDeleteTerry you are right, the Q is a special place and one place we enjoy with so many other people, but good thing its not for everyone.
DeleteThose street entertainers look like they're having a good time.... just like everyone else in your photos!
ReplyDeleteThe entertainers we excellent and putting on a very good show.
DeleteI think most everyone here at the Q enjoy themselves.
Is it really possible to have too much fun? I think not! lol
ReplyDeleteYep you right, but it sure wears you out!
DeleteYes, you guys are closing in on TOO MUCH FUN! Just kidding, George, but I do have to relax after reading of some of your really busy, social days!
ReplyDeleteIt is a busy, fun time this year for sure, and really nice to see everyone again.
DeleteAlmost don't need to be there as you are doing such a great job explaining it all and sharing great photos.
ReplyDeleteMore fun in the sun out here in the desert, with perfect weather.
DeleteLove your pictures. We must be in the same 'general' area here at Quartzsite. I don't know how big La Posa South BLM area is but we are about 1/2 mile from the dump station. Love the croissants and sausage!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by.
ReplyDeleteWe are in La Posa West right close the the hiway and very close to the big tent.
I know you're enjoying it over at the Q and that's great. However, it makes my head spin just looking at all the people, rigs and commotion.
ReplyDeleteWe are only as busy as we want to be, and have our own kittle world here, so not so bad.
DeleteThat is wonderful weather…and how wonderful is that to have so many traveling friends be in the same place at the same time! Glad to hear things are going so well for you out west.
ReplyDeleteThanks guys we are loving it!!!
