More sunshine, and great weather, hope you keeping warm wherever you are !

Where are we today ?
Yep we are having awesome weather! Kinda loving the southwest after last year on the gulf coast. Sunshine, blue skies, warm days, no humidity and cold nights (good for sleeping) really works for us.
This morning (8 am) we headed off to El Centro (Suzie too!) for a few things. First on the agenda was to purchase our 14 day permit to camp here on the BLM (Bureau of Land Management) land. $40.00 for two weeks dry camping (no hook ups). But we do have pit toilets, hot water here and a very nice Hot Spring to enjoy.
We stopped at a few stores for supplies while we were here and back home for lunch. And washed a bit more of our coach in the process. Chores done for the day then we can enjoy our books in the shade. Chat with a few neighbors, play with Ailene's dog (Nina) that likes to stop by and visit.

Suzie walking Nina home
More walkabouts and noticed Santa Clause has returned to this wonderful southern hot spot again. We have met him and his reindeer over the last few years.
this our back yard out the bedroom window,
love it!
Again the Social hour at Don and Ailenes, so we can put down our books, and be sociable for a while. neighbour George (awesome name)  brought a pumpkin pie to share. Suzie and I shared a small piece with dream whip. And a few other nibblies too. Celery w/peanut butter we took and a few other finger foods were there. Nice appetizers, to enhance our refreshments. And get ready for supper.
More stories, more lies and more fun
More doggie fix for Suzie  too!
About 4:30 head home to fire up our Weber Q , and grilled some catfish fillets (on foil, keeps them moist) whipped up a rice pilaf and split a nice fresh bun we picked up this morning at Von's bakery.
nice light tasty supper
Now that is done, we can relax with our books for a while and let the TV watch me, before Suzie wakes me up to go to bed.
Glad you could stop on by for a visit and wish you were here to enjoy this awesome weather with us.

  7. Sounds like a good day to me! Not quite that warm over here in Arizona, we are having 60's in the daytime but it's not freezing at night--a good thing.

  8. Happy to hear that you have managed to find a hot spot, it seems that most of the USA and Canada are in a bit of a deep freeze. We've been having some rain here but a least it warm here.
