Where are we today ?
Much milder last night windows open and had a great nights sleep. Up early as usual and after coffees and computing a cruise around town before the traffic starts. Picked up a few nice sunrise shots that really makes my day.

amazing with the morning clouds. |
Then at 8:15 am took out Roadmaster Sterling Tow bar to the Roadmaster service bay, to have it checked out. A free service that they do at all these shows. So why not take advantage of it. Tow bar cleaned and checked and back in the trunk of our car, then back to home dirt before 9 am. Love the service that
Roadmaster has. Our tow bar is still like new since we purchased it in 2006.

first thing in the morning the parking lots are watered down to stop some of the dust. |
Walking through the wash to the tent, a dry river bed that are all over the southwest.
Friends of ours from Ontario (fullrime rver's) stopped by for a visit and we walked over to the tent and Tyson Wells to pick up a few items they were looking for. They bought their Magne Shade for the coach and a few other bargoons.

Then wandering about for a bit back to our home dirt. Chatted for a while then they headed on out to explore a bit more. I think they did Silly Als' for lunch and maybe the Oasis bookstore too. Then back to Ehrenberg about 20 minutes away. Was so nice to see them again, last March in Ontario was the last time.
Asked them how they like Arizona and not for them. Too dry, cold at night and too dusty. Bit as we have said before either you love Arizona our you hate it. Think you know we love it!

After they took off I reinstalled our tow bar , as good as new again.

I got that all done and had time for a bicycle ride around our area. To the edge of the wash near Q mountain. Riding a few trails and checking out a lot of the remote sites not far from us .

Back to home dirt, had my shower and Happy hour with our friends for a bit. Sunset is happening as I fired up our Weber Q, to grill some taters, broccoli and celery in foil and a couple very tasty smoked pork chops.

ReplyDeleteYou got that right, enough people here already.

ReplyDeleteLooks like quality workmanship and a great idea, so easy to use.
DeleteKeep those sunrise and sunsets pics coming ... just beautiful! Somehow Denis and I always manage to miss that area when its busy ... maybe next winter.
ReplyDeleteThanks guys, we plan our Arizona winters around the Rv show, because we enjoy it so much.
DeleteOur Roadmaster has been serviced once in 12 years and still runs very well. We are never anywhere to get it done.
ReplyDeleteBut we use our tow bar 12 months of the year and move every week or two big difference,
DeleteYou should be fine, but nice to get it checked for free when you can.
Nice desert photos....and I concur that one either does or does not like the desert. Like you, we like the US southwest.

George, may I ask what you are currently using for internet connection? And are you happy with it?
ReplyDeleteWe are using a Verizon MIFI and are very happy with it, Bought it last year, no contract. and prepay every month in advance. Buy a top up card at Dollar General and have had no issues with it at all. We use 10 gb a month for $90.00 and no problems at all. Can get 3 GB for $60.00 but with two computers this wrks great for us.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you sure get some nice sunrises and sunsets there!
