Where are we today ?
Just having more southern California winter weather sunshine, blue skies and temps in the mid 70's. Morning coffees, computing and walkabouts is what we enjoy here. Chat with a few neighbours, does it get much better?
Quiet no generators running, that I can hear, so all is good. Maybe a bit of road noise from I-8 but we can get away from that if we choose to move further back.

down by the canal close to us |
|
lots of solar panels around |
Neighbours beside us playing nice hymns this morning, perfect for a sunday. Accordion and electric organ.
Our choice for today was to hangout here and enjoy the peace a quiet of the desert.
|
beautiful blue skies |
|
lots of space too |
|
mesquite bushes here, you can see our solar panel |
This afternoon I hit the hot springs for a nice hot soak and shower. No pic here I went by myself, But there is always someone there to chat with.
|
got some hot water to do the few dishes we had |
No happy hour tonight with our friends and that is just fine. They headed into Yuma for a birthday celebration and a Chinese buffet. We enjoy Chinese but it was a long drive and too late in the day for us to have a buffet meal, lunch time would have been better, for us. We just relocates from Yuma on friday.
|
another nice sunset |
|
cooking, low and slow |
For supper grilled some chicken legs and thighs, taters in foil with onions, zucchini and carrots.
|
Weber Q does the job perfect |
|
A wonderful chicken dinner |
Did we have an awesome day? You Bet. Cannot beat this lifestyle, do not need to be running every day.
Thanks for stopping on by for the day, hope you had a good one too.

Yep, some days we just like to sit back and enjoy the good life with not much fuss.
ReplyDeleteJust the way we like it.
DeleteNice day by the sounds of it for you both. Do you have solar panels on your rig?
ReplyDeleteWe have one 130 watt solar panel and works good for us.
DeleteI was going to ask how many watts you had! Yeah to whoever invented solar panels.
DeleteThey sure do help our a lot.
DeleteLooks like you're enjoying the warm weather that we are not getting here in Florida. Oh Well in a few years we'll work our way out west. Be Safe and Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteIt's about time.
We really enjoy the desert more than Florida, great days just the nights are cold, no problem we sleeping.
DeleteSome serious solar going on out there but you guys seem to do just fine with what you have and stay very comfortable. Enjoyed the pic's. The grilled chicken and veggies looked very fitting for the weather delish! Have a awesome Monday!
ReplyDeleteWe do just fine with the solar that we have. Another panel would be nice but not necessary.
DeleteNow that Daniel's home, we are going to stop running around and slow the pace to nothingness (if there's such a word). Amazing how many people have solar panels there.
ReplyDeleteSlowing down is good, thats why we are retired.
DeleteThis dry camping is a whole other world and we love it!
So wonderful to see the pics of our friends rigs. Thank you so much for sharing these.
ReplyDeleteNo problem, wish you were here too.
