Where are we today ?
Just more great weather here, and after a quick trip to the Arizona Market one item we needed (a glass lid for out one fry pan) and the Yuma indoor Market, just because we have not been there for a while, then home for lunch.
Did a few chores today, check tire pressure and fill our fresh water tank, top up or R/O water jugs Suzie vacuum our house, we ready to relax for the day.

Got a comment yesterday and I quote: "I thought you were writing an RV log but it seems to have turned into a foodie blog"
My reply is, this is what we do being fulltime rv'ers. Being a cook for many years with my restaurant we do enjoy our food. We travel, socialize and explore places that we have not seen before. We do this every day and is our lifestyle. And posting a blog everyday I post what we enjoy doing.
It has aways been about food and travel since 2006. Thanks for the compliment, you finally figured us out.
As Dave and Sharon were leaving, Emile and Monique stopped by for our last social hour before we hit the road in the morning. We are heading west a short way to some BLM desert camping at the Hot Springs near Holtville California.
Now as the day winds down I do what Suzie loves best. Cook supper. Tonight grilled salmon fillets with dill sauce on our Weber Q, to go with a tasty rice pilaf.
yep it hit the spot |
Then with a nice clear sky a wonderful view of the moon |
That was our wonderful day here in southern California. Just enjoy this great weather, friends and good food.
Thanks for stopping on by for a visit and hope you had some decent weather too.

Thanks glad that you can stop by.
DeleteHow wonderful to see Dave and Sharon. But what happened to the other half of Sharon, she looks fabulous! How I miss having you all here on the Isla.
ReplyDeleteI think we are all looking pretty good for old people, must be the lifestyle.
DeleteWe keep in touch with you guys via blogland,

ReplyDeleteThe endless blue skies here are just amazing.

ReplyDeleteBarrie
We have to eat so lets make a fun experience.
DeleteYou have such great times meeting up with old friends... how much fun that is! Cooking is a big thing in my life as well, especially trying all the "local" foods where we're at... that's part of the trip!
ReplyDeleteOld friends , new friends is always fun to get together for a bit. Not many different "local" foods here, but do enjoy cooking everyday, especially on my Weber Q.
DeleteEating a meal goes so quickly, by cooking it I get to spend more time with the food.
That is a nice picture of you guys.
ReplyDeleteSuzie is lucky to have her own chef aboard. I always look forward to seeing your supper ideas George. You have given me some inspiration to try new BBQ meals. Thanks.
Have fun at the Hot Springs.
Kelly
I do enjoy cooking, Suzie is a good cook too, if I let her. But I have too much fun doing it.
DeleteI always looking for new ideas too.
Love the Hot Springs and desert areas.
What I don't get is how do you two stay so thin? If I owned a restaurant, I would have weighed 300 pounds!
ReplyDeleteWell its all about portion control same as I did in the restaurant.
DeleteGet some daily exercise helps too.
If we didn't drink beer would be much thinner.
Glad to see you are still enjoying everything that is good in life Good Friends, Good Food and Wonderful Weather. Be Safe and Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteIt's about time.
That's what we enjoy about this lifestyle!
DeleteYep, love your food ideas as well. We are the same when traveling in the motorhome, we love cooking our own food too!
