Happy New Year!

Where are we today ?
Ok how can you not like having New Years eve day in southern California, sunshine and warm weather, shorts T-shirts, friends, cool beverages and good food.
Today was all of the above, walkabouts, chat with people, enjoy the desert and reading our books in the shade.
Nice sunrise this morning before it heats up.
Just a nice relaxing day that we really enjoy. I made some fresh cranberry sauce with orange zest for our Turkey dinner tomorrow.
Another couple from Ontario arrived today, friends that we all know here. Emile and Monique so more lively conversation for "Happy hour".  Now 7 couples here that we know of from Ontario.
Suzie got her doggie fix with Piper today
Then time for a bite to eat. We having a spaghetti squash, just heat in the microwave for 10 minutes cut in half, cooks it perfect. Had some spaghetti sauce in our freezer to heat up and a couple fresh buns, really hit the spot.
yummy
Then we had decided to have New Years Eve campfire here with our propane fire pit. Not sure what the clubhouse is doing other than bring a snack and BYOB, no advertising about a dance or anything. Much quieter here with our friends and we can go inside when we feel like.
So set up the fire pit and we gathered around for a few adult beverages from about 7:30 until 10 pm. That equates to midnight back in Ontario. Good enough for us, we get to celebrate New Years Eve with those back home and get to bed before we fall asleep!
New Years Eve around our Propane fire
Is that not a perfect New Years Eve Celebration for us OLD folks? Worked for us.
Lady Girl was all ready for the party
Glad you could stop by and ring in the New Year with us.
Would like wish everybody a Happy and Healthy new Year!

  10. HAPPY HAPPY George and Suzie. You celebration was much like ours---good food--some lies with friends--then off to slumber land. Too cold and wet here is Texas to do much--but not whinnying.
