Where are we today ?
Just more great weather here. What can I say without (pissing you off) but thats what it is. Guess we just got lucky this year.
Down by the Hot Springs at 7:30 this morning. Every Tuesday they are cleaned, emptied, power washed and sterilized. Volunteers do this. Takes them about one hour and 3 and1/2 hours to fill the hot tub.

lagoon (pond) is so pretty and welcoming |
The rest of the day puttering around, minor repairs, reading in the shade, chatting with neighbours that remained here. A bunch took the FREE bus trip to a casino, for FREE slot play and a social time. Not really our cup of tea, but each to their own.
Checking out Don's solar system, all his panels store power in the 14- 6 volt golf cart batteries that he has here. More that enough power to do whatever they want and then some.
|
14 batteries here |
At around 3 pm we enjoyed a Social hour with the guys and the gamblers returned about 4 from the bus trip. Some great winners and the rest break even.

Soon time to head home and fire up our Weber Q. Grill some acorn squash and a couple homemade burger patties.

Whipped up some homefried potatoes, with fresh mushrooms, onions and garlic, add a bit of gravy and we have a very tasty hot hamburg meal.

Delete[shiver shiver] . . . Can you share some of that warmth?
ReplyDeleteCome on down lotsa room here in southern California.
DeleteYes, please send some warm weather to our 'campsite'!! We are fr-fr-freezing here in London, On....better today at -17 with no wind chill than it was yesterday at -25 (-40 w/wind chill). I know you are and know that you are very blessed to be able to do what you are doing. Bill and I appreciate hearing of your days, however quiet they are, as it continues to feed our wish to do the same! Enjoy!! ps - do you/can you swim in the lagoon?
ReplyDeleteToo cold there thats why we head south in search of warmer places and most of the time we get it right.
DeleteI don't swim in the Lagoon, sign says no swimming, but a few people do.
This is how we enjoy life 24/7/ 365 days a year.
We don't nee to be out sightseeing every day. Fresh air, exercise, sunshine, good books and tasty meals works for us.
Cooking should be, fun easy and tasty thats the way I like to do it.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering how that hot pool got cleaned. The water looked a little green the other day.
ReplyDeleteThe water flows constantly thru the pool, never stops and is pretty clean. Every Tuesday is scrubbed and sanitized.
