Where are we today ?
Over night was pretty mild, don't think it got below 50f, mainly because we had a bit of cloud cover. Keeps the day time heat in here.
Then we get another awesome sunrise because of it too.
|
another nice sunrise |
Hardly any wind as well and we enjoyed a balloon floating on by early this morning as well.
|
got a nice picture of the balloon |
|
and Pat got a couple as well, I was able to fine tune her's nicely |
|
ballon heading down |
After this was done Suzie had her shower and let me know our fresh water was getting low. So off to fill up our water jugs to add another 14 gallons to our tank. Sewage should be fine for a few more days.
|
Hooked up the old water pump we have to top up our fresh water |
Then a bite to eat for lunch and wander over to the tent, to check for any bargains happening. The crowds are dwindling drastically, and bargains getting better by the day, check out a few below.
|
air compressor $45.00 |
|
good deal on the saws |
We walk from our home dirt through this wash to the tent area and Tyson Wells.
|
the wash |
Back home just puttered around a bit and relaxed for a while. 3 o'clock Happy hour and going to John and Barbs today. Surprised when Terry and Jerry fellow bloggers
Just Wanderin showed up to join us. Met them a couple weeks ago and asked them to join us whenever they had some free time. And looks like the day was today.
|
Love their Jaguar |
|
Not everyone has a Jaguar, Jeep, with two kayaks on the roof, in the desert! |
They joined our small group here and conversation flowed every which way. We are all rver's and all enjoying the lifestyle, sharing stories and adventures.
|
yep we all happy |
|
Suzie has her doggie fix with Hank |
Soon time to disperse, getting ready for supper. Sad to say so long to Terry and Jerry hopefully will meet up again soon, can drop by anytime guys!
For supper I just whipped up a fettucine Alfredo with our left over BBQ'd chicken, fresh mushrooms, onion and broccoli. A nice tossed salad with leaf lettuce and a fresh potato bun. Really hit the spot.
|
yummy |
That was another fun day here in the desert at Quartzsite, crowds going down, traffic a bit less and weather getting warmer. Can't wait until next week when things will really get quiet.
Thanks for joining us here, hope you are enjoying your days too wherever are, and hope you are keeping warm back home.

We really enjoyed visiting with all of you It was fun. I tried to beat you posting but didn't quite make it .. almost! Hopefully, we'll meet again on the road someplace. Heck, maybe there's a joint Wal-mart in our future!!! Travel safe.
ReplyDeleteIt was a great visit. Yes I think we will meet up you along the way, would be great.
DeleteEnjoy you Kayaking today too.
Another nice day to read about .... not to mention the FOOOOD....
ReplyDeleteWe had fun just like every day, supper was yummy too.
DeleteAlfredo sauce looks good. Do you make that and if you do can you put the recipe on your recipe list?
ReplyDeleteSorry Bill the sauce came out of a jar, quick, easy and tasty, one of the few prepared food we use. I have made the sauce but for two people this works.
DeleteLooks like the fun just keeps on each day.... the sales seem worth waiting for, but with my luck, they'd sell out of whatever I wanted when it was full price.
ReplyDeleteSometimes that happens, then I guess it was not meant to be.
DeleteI bet that is a beautiful sight from up in that balloon.
ReplyDeletePaul wait till the end to purchase a few things. He got some outstanding buys.
Yes you are right, some deals are sure to be had in the last few days.
DeleteLooks like another fun day with friends and food.
ReplyDeleteMake certain your propane is filled. It looks like you could have a couple of cold days heading your way.
Be Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
WE don't use much propane with our Mr. Heater and have a huge tank. Our forecast here shows temps in the 70'a and 80's for the next week or so.
DeleteJeri and Terry are great folks. Glad you were able to get together with them. With as many RVs as we saw on the road I would definitely say that lots of folks have left Q. Makes for an easier time around there.
ReplyDeleteYou are right they are a super couple, too bad we did not get to meet you guys too. Much easier to get around here now for sure.
DeleteLooks like your rig is the place to be in the late afternoon at the Q! You are a great host, George!
ReplyDeleteEverybody is welcome at our house, even you and Paulette.
ReplyDeleteI keep telling Jeri it's not a Jaguar, and it's not a Jeep, it is a Jageep. ;c)
ReplyDeleteYep thats it is!
DeleteLearned something new from your blog. Didn't know that's how you get water while boondocking.
ReplyDeleteThat how we get water without moving our coach, there is many different ways to do it.
DeleteLove those tent blow outs...............!
ReplyDeleteYeah good deals to be had.
