Windows redone under warranty, and enjoying the quiet desert that is now happening here in Quartzsite

Where are we today ?

We having too much fun here, just the two of us and nobody around. Run a few errands today and checked out Tyson Wells vendors for the last time this year. Over half the vendors are gone but we still got a nice walkabout looking at stuff and no crowds. Picked up a few ball bungees that we use, for a good deal, them back home for lunch.
food court is quiet
nice looking bench
After a bite for lunch read our books for a bit then a nice bike ride about the desert. Checking out all the nice remote sites and great scenery.
lotsa great places to set up camp
looks like a mine in the distance
atv trails everyhere
Old Yuma road goes for miles
more remote campsites
Late afternoon the Rv Glass guys showed up with our repaired dual pane windows. We had them done two years ago and they gave us an 18 month warranty. Two of our three windows began to fog a bit last winter but we were not here in Arizona. These two brothers ( Craig and Mike)  honoured their warranty and agreed to repair them again at no charge. Took them out on Monday and returned today to reinstall, looks like new and now we can see our mirrors again!
their set up on Kuehn St across from Rice Ranch
They are a very busy couple of guys and got them to do the work when they had time. We here for three weeks altogether. If you have foggy windows and are in Quartzsite we highly recommend them to get the job done.
they know their stuff and got the job done in no time
thanks guys, another job well done
We got a bit more reading done in the shade its very hot here about 90f.
lotsa room now most neighbors gone
For a nice tasty supper tonight we had a craving for chicken wings and homemade fries. So with the Weber Q and fry Daddy going cooked up a nice feast for us.
Added some celery, carrots, cauliflower, blue cheese dip and my hot sauces we had a very tasty supper.
sure hit the spot
then to wind up our day an nice Arizona sunset
Just another desert day here in Quartzsite at "Home Dirt" suits us just fine.
Thanks again for stopping by for a visit, if you are not here hope you are keeping warm, wherever you are.

  1. Folks have definitely moved out. We only had 7 at our campfire tonight. That's down from close to 40. We're moving out on Friday. It'll be interesting to see the plans for next year especially since they cut out the car and craft shows.

    1. No campfire for us just a nice quiet evening.

  2. Hopefully that's it for the windows. Good thing they stood behind their warranty. With the amount of banging around in the average RV, it's no wonder sealed units fail.

    1. We have other windows that could be done, but not critical for driving,

  4. Love to hear that warranties are still in effect when you need them... and that they are honored!

    1. This was six months past the warranty period, but was a long drive from home to here.

  5. You clearly found a couple of guys who stand by their word with the window repairs. It does look like the dust is settling back down in the Q with so many RVers gone. Quiet is good!

    1. They are a couple friendly guys and do good work, I think last time they were very busy and maybe rushed the job a bit as we ran out of time here.
      Yep quiet is good.

  7. I'm betting an insurance company would have found a way to deny your claim. At least these guys stood by their warranty - hope their work stands up as well.

    1. They do a lot of Rv windows repaired and very seldom have any recalls. The third window was gone for a week last time and it is standing up perfectly.
