Up early at my usual time and enjoying the peaceful morning with Suzie, coffee's and computing. As the sun was rising I headed on out for my 1st morning walkabout just over an hour I got 3 miles in, sure is refreshing and energizes me.as I walked down the road, the sun rose behind me |
on my way back noticed another Blue Bird with matching trailer in with the Blue Bird group |
Soon time for our light lunch, some cold chicken , 1/2 an apple and banana, did the trick for me.
Then as I like to do, drive about this area and explore some more places. So much to see in the the desert here, lots of bushes, cactus, scenery and interesting campsites.
Not far from here I spotted this sign so checked it out. Hmm a map of the Magic Circle showing the boundaries for it. This is the clothing Optional area I have mentioned before. No I did not drive through and no I did not take any pictures, but is nice that these people can enjoy an area here if they choose.

long lineup for the dump station |
A bit later we enjoyed a wonderful quiet afternoon immersed in our page turners. Under the awning just to keep us out of the direct sun. Even though it was not that hot 67F (19C) is quite comfortable here.
Then at 3 pm Happy hour today at Bill and Patsy's with us, as well as Tom and Deb. And we had another visitor and fellow Blogger. Shadow Moss (Paula) In the Shadows this year's figure head and instigator for Bloggerfest Saturday Jan 27th from 1 till 3 pm at the La Posa south Ramada. Always nice to see her again and flap our gums. For a coupe of hours.
LR: Patsy, Paula, Bol; and Clemson in the middle |
Soon it was time for supper. And tonight my version of Turkey Stroganoff just because we can. Have some leftover Turkey in the freezer and gravy so why not? For the recipe you can click HERE or my recipe blog top right sidebar.

Three mile walk is a nice healthy jaunt.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe they have a clothes optional area in Q. Wonder how long that's been going on?
I know how Paula loves Bloggerfest and I think she will break the attendance record. Each year since you started it, it has grown. Can't believe it's been four years already.
You had a beautiful sunset picture. Not one here. Too many clouds to the west.
It was a nice way the begin my day and felt wonderful. The clothing optional area has been here for quite a few years and was just increased last year, I guess it is quite popular, lots of rigs there. The first blogger feast I could not make got called back home, A few other bloggers set it up.It should be a good turn out this year.
DeleteToo bad no sunset for you but there will be lots more.
I do love Bloggerfest. And I enjoyed the time spent visiting with the bloggers at La Posa South as well.
ReplyDeleteYes you do love Blggerfest and it will be a huge success, glad that you came by this afternoon, and joined us.
DeleteDinner looked good as usual. You folks sure are busy during Happy Hours!! Good for you. Enjoy your time at La Posa.
ReplyDeleteThanks Deb it was tasty. We have had a lots more new people visit for happy hours this year. we will have lots of quiet ones as well.
DeleteClemson was such a sweetheart!! I think if I had to wait that long to dump my tanks, I'd go at 6:00 in the morning!!
ReplyDeleteThe best time is by 8 am and after 4 pm usually works pretty good. I like to wait for the sunrise easier to see what we doing.
DeleteYou'd think after all these years and the money collected, the BLM would put in another dump station. It's not like it wouldn't get used.
ReplyDeleteYou just need to go at the right time, everyone want to go from 10 am till 2 pm. There is quite a few more dump stations at Imperial dam away from the crowds.
DeleteIt was another great day. We got some things done and had a nice Happy Hour with friends.
ReplyDeleteWe never get tired of this!
It was a wonderful day, get things done, relax and a nice social time with friends is always fun.
DeleteLooks like things are getting busy in the Q. Guess I should consider heading over that way later this week.
ReplyDeleteThe crowds are coming in steady every day, but always plenty of room.
DeleteBack to the google profile can't post a comment thing, George. This is Sue from MoHoTravels, and I wanted to say how much fun Blogger fest was when we attended and we are sorry we will be getting to the desert a bit later this year and will miss it. I do love those early morning desert walks, can't wait to do that again.
ReplyDeleteNot sure why you are having issues with that sounds strange. But always nice to hear from you. Bloggerfest is a great way to meet fellow bloggers all in one place. Too bad you can't make it this year, Hopefully we will catch up with you at some point . The desert walks are wonderful love the wide open spaces.
DeleteWow that dump station line up is ridiculous! Nice sunrise and sunset pics! We pretty much had the same thing for dinner last night except with rice and it was delicious and easy! Happy hour so nice once again..looking forward to getting there and visiting with you all too!!
