Laundry to start the day, enjoying this weather, social time and another tasty supper.

Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it
Much milder last night and another great sleep. As usual up early and waiting for Suzie to get up. So we can sort the laundry. No early walkabout today. May as well get the laundry done early beat the crowds etc.. don't like to waste the day doing laundry, its been a couple of weeks. So at 7:20 I piled it in the car and headed into town The Main Street laundromat. They also have pay showers, an attendant on duty and a restaurant, very clean. I really like this one. Lots of machines that do a great job, 20 minutes to wash ($1.75)  and 15 minutes to dry(.75 cents). I even got to read for while as the machines did their work, Then I folded things there and home by 8:40 am. Suzie can put it away. This job is now done for the day.
this the place I like
not busy yet
Nice to be cack to "home dirt" and enjoy this weather .
Then now I can get a short walkabout, chat with Suzie and she got her doggie fix with Clemson. Read a bit more then whip up a light tasty lunch.
Clemson helping Suzie reading
After lunch I cruised over to RV Lifestyles to pick up an oil filter for our Onan Generator and made an appointment to have a broken weld under our spare tire that holds a brace in place. For when we leave this area. I also noted that they are sold out of the Blue Flame heater we had installed when we got here, Glad we got it when we did. They still have other models for more money though.
Not so sunny now and a bit cooler only 66F (18C) so need some long pants on to read outside. At least we can sit outside to read. I took a few minutes to prep a pork roast for our Weber Q.
this is a wonderful bone in frenched pork roast
all ready to go with oil and rubs
Then about 3pm time for Happy Hour the sun came from behind the clouds. So shorts back on and enjoyed some very nice warm sunny weather for a while. As the roast was cooking on the grill, low and slow.
Happy hour today at Tom and Deb's with Bill and Patsy then our friends Len and Brenda joined us as well, So we got to share tips and tell stories. Think the tips we share are most important.
As we were enjoying happy hour I came home to check our roast a few times. I turned it over for a bit then I took it off our trivet to glaze (crisp it ) it a bit more, set out spaghetti squash on the grill for about 15minutes then it was all ready to go.
almost done in the trivet
right on the grill to finish
Then took it inside for a few minutes the roast is resting under a foil tent while I put together our salad just to round things off.
oh so tasty spaghetti squash, salad,
pork and of course  apple sauce
Now as this was winding down  I did manage to catch a bit of a sunset.
not awesome but still a nice desert sunset
Just getting a few things done today cause we can and still enjoying this much better weather then back home.
Thanks for taking the time to stop on by.

  2. Always nice to have the laundry finished, or at least I think it is. It's not a tough chore, and is one of my favourites. What else can I do that says I'm working but I get to sit and read for most of that time?

Happy hour looked fun again, and of course dinner looked amazing.

    1. The laundry is not tough at all put in the machines, read, move to dryer, read some more, fold then put away, read some more. it sure is a tough life.
Happy Hour was fun as always, and the dunner was excellent.

  3. Hi Kids. Funny how these easy days, doing "chores" like the laundry, groceries, and cooking are so pleasant once there's no day-job pressuring our psyche, and using up so much of our time. Nice to be on the journey with you guys. I am sitting here in my apartment watching the wet snow falling outside the window. Hope you have another great day in paradise! Clancy

  5. You always make me so hungry!! Isn't it nice that doing the laundry is the only chore of the day? 20 mph winds and cold here, as I reminisce about the 70's in Q.

  6. Nice easy day for the Q clan I see.

So far the weather down in Yuma has been in the 70s but I see this Saturday things are going to cool down to the 60s for all of us.
