Another very mild night windows open for sleeping Temps in the mid 50's F at 5am loving it. Shorts on first thing beginning with my first walkabout at 7:30. perfect. 78F (25C) at noon and still warming up. Yup this is the place to be alright. First thing I saw was the moon setting outside our patio.the moon was just peaking behind some clouds when I caught it |
Then a few minutes later I was at the east of the park looking over the desert and caught the sun peaking over the mountains (Pilot Knob I call it) beginning to really warm up our day.
usually get a nice sunrise here and this did not disappoint |
The security man Rod was checking out the sites as he does every morning making use of his toy. A 1930 Ford Pickup (his everyday driver) still all original that he restored some 35 years ago. Really love his ride!
Rod's 1930 Ford Pickup |
we do enjoy it here, but time to move on |
clear blue sunny skies . perfect |
Happy hour just the 2 of us, but that is hat we are used to. Soon time to whip us supper, so grilled a couple of large chicken drum sticks on our grill mat to go with our salad.
done to perfection on the grill mat and no mess on the grill |
added to our salad was very tasty |
another great way to wind up this relaxing day |
Want to thank y'all for joining us here at Pilot Knob resort, but we are ready to get on the road in the morning, time for new places and new faces. Not far but we really just had to scratch that hitch itch again. Hope you had a pretty decent day as well.
Again still outside in shorts finishing up this posting and 64f (17C) what's not to love about this weather?

ReplyDeleteBah! Too funny. I just about choked on my beer!
Glad you got a chuckle out of it. Sure glad you did not choke on your beer spell check did not catch that one and I proof read it a few times. That is not the first mistake and sure will not be the last.
DeleteThanks for pointing that out
Thanks for your version of the potatoes. I am typically up before Fran and do the breakfast, my version is similar but not for Susie ... I add peppers :) Looking forward to your next stop.
ReplyDeleteI have added peppers as well that recipe is pretty generic works for most everyone. We are looking ford to it as well.
DeleteLooking forward to the next adventure.
ReplyDeleteYou have seen this next one before many times another place we enjoy.
DeleteTom agrees the 1930 Ford Truck is a nice looking ride.
ReplyDeleteWe had beautiful blue skies today, also, and nice warm temperatures.
Safe Travels as you head further west.

Delete85F is a little too warm for me but I'd love mid-50's right now - not sure when we'll see it again.
ReplyDeleteLarry, 85f here in the desert with 10% humidity and a light breeze is quite comfortable in the shade. We have no needed to put our a/c on yet.

ReplyDeleteYes Nancy the weather is perfect, think it will be pretty good for a while yet, much better than back home regardless..
DeleteGlad you're enjoying the weather. Spell check is a wonderful thing at times, not so wonderful at other times. Safe travels!!
ReplyDeleteIt sure is amazing weather,Thanks Deb, just moving on down the road a few miles.
DeleteSpell check helps at times at least the wrong word was correctly spelled, lol
Safe travels! Keep on chasing that sunshine...
ReplyDeleteThanks Peter we have been doing pretty well so far.
DeleteGood morning...ah hmmm...we desert rats who live year around in southwest consider 64 degrees a tad too cold. If it's below 70, we turn the heat on :-)
ReplyDeleteBTY the spell check error had me humming 'In the Year 2525'
DeleteI have been humming that tune lately as well, hmmm.
DeleteWe feel to cooler weather a bit,not as much as you who live here year round. But considering it is -20 F at home we will enjoy this and glad we are here.
