Up early and caught nice red sky before we headed into
Rv Lifestyles in Quartzite. To have our new Blue Flame heater installed. Ya hoo! We have had our Mr Heater for 10 years and loved it but always said when the time comes we will get this Blue Flame heater. We love these no noise, no electricity and just sips the propane. 99.9% efficient, whats not to love?
Well last week the time came our Mr heater was having issues I took it apart a couple of times and got it to work again but not perfect. So it was time to put him to sleep. It served us well for over 10 years and was only $75.00 then so really did not owe us anything especially all the propane we saved. After telling so many people about this Blue flame heater over the years they had them installed and love them. So last Friday in the Hot Springs I phoned them. Yes they had the heater we wanted in stock and could install it on Monday, Yippeee, go for it. So instead of going to Imperial Dam LTVA for a few days we came right into Q so we could be here first thing this morning for 8 am.
Got there for 8 am and discussed with Mike where we wanted it installed. He said no problem. So we wandered about the store, enjoyed a free coffee and nibbled on fresh free popcorn. And just after 10:30 the install was all done, so neat and professional. Gave us a demo, and showed me where and how it was installed. A pretty good deal in our minds $209.00 for the heater and $125.00 to install plus a a few parts, connectors and a hose. And wow this is nice heats the room quickly and a has a thermostat so that it will maintain whatever heat we want. and The blue flame yahoo again, and doubles as a gas fireplace as well ! Also being on the hose we can put it in the bathroom for when we have a shower, sure will be great here on the cool mornings and nights.

Where have we been this winter ?
We will be headed over to RV Lifestyles early Saturday to have a couple of things taken care. They worked on our 5th Wheel a couple of years ago and we were very happy with their work and price.
ReplyDeleteTom said the catfish looks good but he wants to know what is up with only 1 shrimp a piece? He does not feel that is even an appetizer...:)
Nice seeing you both today.
We have been there a few times over the years , always happy with their work quick reasonable and friendly people there.
DeleteLOL, I was just doing a test cook on the shrimp seeing as I had the fry daddy out. and they turned out perfectly. Was nice seeing you guys as well.
We LOVE our blue flame heater that we got at RV Lifestyles last year. We even use it in our park model back home. Just have not had the Quik Connect added to our trailer. Hose goes through the window but it works fine.
ReplyDeleteAt least you git it working and knew you would love it, being able to move it around is a bonus for you guys too.
DeleteThe photo of your ribs made my mouth water the other day...
ReplyDeleteI would like to have that heater, but a little too far for me to drive right now...
It's snowing up here in Chelan, but it seems there is not much snow in Idaho-Oregon-Ca...Hope this changes.Summer is just around the corner.....Fires...Yikes!!
Safe travels!
Upriverdavid
Thanks David the ribs are awesome, You can but these heaters on line, most anywhere I believe except California or Canada . It sure is amazing the heat it pouts out, you could really use it with cold snowy weather.
DeleteLove having work done at RV Lifestyles. Never any problems with anything they do.
ReplyDeleteWe do too, always fast friendly service at a reasonable price been there a few times.
DeleteThat car is a Frankenstein car... a mix of different years and parts. Looks like the body is a chopped touring body.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bill. Then it surely is a one of a kinda looks like it would be fun to drive.
DeleteWe sure had a great day with all the visitors. I knew you would be pleased with the Blue Flame heater, like we are with ours. Enjoy the warmth.
ReplyDeleteI knew we would love it we were just waiting for our Mr. Heater to pass on. The warm is amazing and the fireplace look we love !
DeleteWe bought our Blue Flame heater the first year we were full timing. We love it. We mostly stay in warm areas, but when we need it, it does the job perfect. You will actually be too hot sometimes...lol
ReplyDeleteOur Mr Heater did the trick for 10 years we like to stay in warm areas as well , but the nights can get chilly, even in the summer back home, so it is a very worthwhile investment for us. I can see getting too hot on the lowest setting it is 72F.
DeleteGlad you like the heater. We'll have to check out RV Lifestyles after things calm down a bit here in town. It was great seeing you and Suzie again, also meeting Bill & Patsy, along with Clemson of course. Such wonderful people. It was also nice to meet Tom & Deb, I'll be checking out their blog in the next few days. We enjoyed the laughter and the chatter today.
ReplyDeleteReally love this heater, Rv lifestyles is a great place for service here. Always nice to see you guys whenever you are around. All wonderful people you met today and really glad that you and Riley, the laughter a fun times.
DeleteI love those heaters. Been to Quartzsite twice to get one, but they are always sold out. SO much nicer than the rig heaters.
ReplyDeleteThey are wonderful heaters, usually they are sold out early in the season, if you know when you will be in the area you could phone ahed and they will probably hold one for you.
DeleteYes, SO much nicer and more efficient than the rv furnace.
Wow.the sunrise and sunset..just beautiful..never tire of those! Congrats on the new heater! They do sound awesome! Then what a fun time visiting with everyone! Looks like a wonderful day! Dinner looked great once again!
ReplyDeleteThanks the sunrise and sunset was wonderful for an overcast day. Love this heater is amazing.
DeleteIt was a fun day visiting with our friends again.
I love our Mr. Buddy, but wish I had bought the one you bought from RV Lifestyles. We don't have a thermostat on ours.
ReplyDeleteOur Mr Buddy did the trick for over 10 years, we did not know about the Blue Flame back then. It is more money but we will make very good use for it, The thermostat is a real bonus.
DeleteHi George. Who knows why google doesn't see me, this is Sue Malone from the MoHo. Anyway, nice choice for a heater!
ReplyDeleteHmm Sue don't know why it worked yesterday for you.
DeleteHave been waiting for a while to put this heater in our budget and sure loving it !
You should have taken Suzie for a spin in that car, she might have changed her mind... :cD
ReplyDeleteI tried but she would not get in it, no sense of adventure I guess.
DeleteAlong with everyone else, I'm happy you were able to get your heater installed so quickly. Bonus that they had one for you.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Tom......one shrimp? but I understand now you were testing. I'm going to try next time I deep fry to NOT use our basket. i'll need to buy a good slotted spoon though.
We are so happy with it all as well. Love it.
DeleteYes I was testing and worked wonderful, Oura came with the slotted spoon, works wonderful.
We bought the same one George, Skip installed it in a couple of hours, we are really happy with it too.
ReplyDeleteIt sure is a wonderful heater does an amazing job.
DeleteLooks like a nice job on the heater install. I guess they couldn't re-use the Buddy heater lines because they were high pressure from the tank and the Blue Flame is low pressure after the regulator. Correct?
ReplyDeleteActually we could have done that, they sell a pressure regulator for the blue flame and you could just hook up to the high pressure line, But we preferred to have it done this way. The high pressure hose I have has been there over 10 years and I think it should need to be replaced soon any way. Some people add the regulator and run a line through the window or slide to the heater inside. Your choice.
DeleteDo you just open one window a crack to vent? Or more?
ReplyDeleteJust the small window over our sink 1/4 inch and is fine some people do not even ion windows and are still alive, there is air leaks in and rv.
DeleteThat would be a near toy!
ReplyDeleteYes Stew it sure would !
DeleteWe still love our Mr. Heaters. We had a Blue Flame when we had Duchess but it scared her. So, did the Mr. Heaters but we could move them away. Love the heat they both put out. That's the best part.
ReplyDeleteOur Mr Heater did a great job for 10 years, and ;like this blue flame even more, They both do a great job.
