Last call for Bloggerfest tomorrow Saturday, and just another wonderful desert day.

Where are we today ?
clic a pic for more

Last night again milder about 48F at 4:30am another great night for sleeping with windows open. Got the usual coffees, cereal and computing  done and caught a nice sunrise.
love these desert sunrises where we are
Got my first walkabout about 8:30 this morning the warm sun on my back. Did manage to get 3 miles done to start my day.
just me and my shadow
Love these quiet mornings , fresh air, exercise and the desert views.
passed by this Saguaro  standing tall
Back home to putter around a bit no major project today. Just taking it easy.
nice view from our Patio
Right after lunch a quick to town  at 11;30 very little traffic made right on Kuehn St at stopped by a vendor we talked to last weekend to picked up some Mineola Oranges. We discovered these a couple of years ago and love them so tender juicy and no seeds.
this large bag was $7.00 will due us the rest of the winter I am sure.
Suzie had mentioned I need a haircut . so a quick shower, got my clippers out and attacked my hair and beard. She does a nice job doing the final trimming for me. Heck she said I look almost human again!
At 2:30 I prepped some pork ribs (for Suzie) and a couple of pig tails for me. Wrapped in foil with Sauerkraut and set on the Weber Q  low and slow for a couple of hours. They can do their stuff while we enjoy Happy Hour at Tom and Deb's today. Amazing all the topics that come up to be discussed and again the afternoon just flew on by.
LR, Patsy, Tom, Dev< Sheerly, Ken, Suzie, my chair and Bill
About 4:30 I headed home to make our salad, and set the ribs (for Suzie) and pigtails (for me) on the grill mat, to glaze them and add some BBQ sauce.
2 tails on the left fall off the bone, just the way we like them
with the BBQ sauce glazed they are so tasty and very tender
Just heated up a bit more KD, add to the salad, and kraut, these tails were awesome. And so were Suzie's ribs.
tasty ?   yup !
Then as this was ready we did catch a nice desert sunset again.
the sun hitting the mountain to the east for a nice view
A bit later Bill came over to tell us the space station was passing overhead very soon, So grabbed my tripod and camera and headed on out to see what we could see. Only here for a few minutes and did manage to get one not too bad of a shot. It moves so quickly. Thanks for the heads up Bill.
Space station
There ya go we had another very relaxing desert day that just flew on by. Not sure where the time goes but it does.
Thanks for stopping in for  peek.

  1. Not going to make bloggerfest this year. Doesn't look like we'll make it to Q at all this winter. Oh well, there's next year. On the other hand, keeping busy having fun here.

  10. I thought I'd eaten every part of a pig (except the internals), but never the tail. I'm sure they are tender and will have to get one to try.

  13. yum those ribs look good. I bough the mats, but wasn't so happy with them with a steak I marinaded, but I see now that they will be perfect for glazing the ribs. I use your recipe often. Ooo cool, I'll look for the space station when we get south and out of the foggy northwest! Hi to all the bloggers at Bloggerfest...we are a couple of days late and a dollar short...well not really, just days late.

    1. The grill mar works great for some things like the glazing, butI would not use it for a steak our roast either.
      Enjoy the space station.
