What the heck, I slept in this morning until 6 am! (90 minutes later than usual, I feel like I missed the best part of the day already.Managed to get our coffees and some computing done, but no early walkabout yet. I like to head out into town before the traffic etc. So at 8:30 I headed into the Pilot gas station to fuel the car, we like our Good Sam discount only $2.28 a gallon. Then from there to the Library for the free wifi and install some updates on my computer. Next a quick stop at the Roadrunner market for a couple of items and back to home dirt by 10 am.
across from the library at the town park |
Back home the sun on our patio called for the awning open and sunshade in place . The sun is intense and a bit of shade helps keep us comfortable even though it was just 65F (18C) .
our sunshade filters out a bit of the hot sun |
love these ocotillo cactus |
so much empty area here never an issue to find a nice camping spot |
Then I hopped in the car for another drive around exploring more of this area. so many wonderful places to camp with so many wide open spaces.
a couple of Saguaro cactus all by themselves, love these . |
Now to relax in the shade and enjoy our e-readers and enjoying the view with a couple of neighbours flying their kites. Why not ? Clear blue skies a nice light breeze and wide open spaces.
After I spiced and breaded a some pork cutlets for supper and set in the fridge to relax it was time for Happy Hour. Today at Tom and Deb's at their new location behind us.Happy hour with LR: Suzie, Bill, Patsy, Tom and Deb, we shared more stories and enjoyed some more wonderful desertweather |
Soon time to head on home to whip up supper. Tonight our breaded pork schnitzel with Italian seasoning, pan fried inside, topped with some sautéed mushrooms and onions, pizza sauce and mozzarella cheese. Quick and easy to cook so tender and very tasty, Cut with a fork.
it's been a while and we love a good Schnitzel nothing like a homemade one too |

DeleteIt was a another great day in the desert. Wonderful sun, nice breeze and a Happy Hour with friends. We are really liking our new spot with the sun out the door. Though we are thinking the purchase of a sunscreen is next on the agenda.

The sun here can very intense, the sunscreen just takes the edge off it, Shade pro sell some great ones specially for electric awnings so easy to put up.
