More exploring, great weather, good friends and meeting a fellow blogger.

Where are we today ?
clic a pic for more
Another wonderful day in the works. 54F inside (45F outside) at 5:30 great for sleeping so fired up our Blue Flame heater and in less that 1/2 hour it was 74 F then turned it down lower so the thermostat will maintain that temperature until the sun comes up for another warm sunny day.
With a population of only 3,700 people Quartzite has over 2 Million Visitors every year according to their website above and we believe it.
Got a nice walkabout at 7 am to catch another colourful sunrise, some fresh air and exercise to start off my day. Then a drive about town again checking out some of the areas that I have not seen yet this year. Beat the traffic and crowds back home by 9:30.
another wonderful desert sunrise
Cruising around town I stopped by the Hi Jolly Cemetery and the monument If you don't know the history you can click HERE.  All about how the camels came to Quartzite in 1856.
the Hi Jolly Monument
Then I checked out the Big Tent and yes it is all set up and ready for the vendors to soon be moving in.
entrance to the Big Tent
this time next weekend it will be a zoo here
Just puttering around and walkabouts then time for a light tasty lunch. After that my mission was to go back to Tyson Wells to pick up some mini 20 amp fuses for the car. We use them when we plug in the  brake buddy or small inverter into the power outlet, and occasionally they burn out. Sometimes in a couple of weeks or months, but nice to have them on hand I got 6 for $1:50, other places want $2;00 each. hmm. easy choice.
Lots of parking still behind the Tyson wells vendors so I headed to check out a few more and search for my fuses that we saw the other day.
not too crowded yet
these ladies make signs etc..
this be the place I found my fuses
across from K &B
very well set up and good prices too
homemade ice cream but very expensive, $4;55 for a cone?
don't think so
Then of course the ever busy Beer Belly's Adult Day care. Refreshments and entertainment.
Made my way back to the car past the food court, not too busy yet but will be.
Back home to enjoy a pretty nice partly cloudy day enjoying our e-readers. Happy hour  evolved again. Time to catch up with our neighbours Just because we can. Always a fun social time. Plus a bonus today we had a fellow blogger stop by to meet us  Nancy Kissak  (Kissak Adventures ) She is passing through Quartzite and wanted to stop by and meet us. Sure glad she did. It is always fun to meet people who's blogs that we follow. So many stories shared and getting to know everyone. Glad that you stopped by Nancy and hope we can meet up again on down the road .
LR: Bill, Suzie, Nancy, Patsy, Deb, and Tom
travel safe Nancy see y'all on down the road
Happy hour wound down about 5:30 and time to whip up supper. Tonight some fish fillets on our Weber Q. One cod fillet and 3 small Tilapia fillets. And a chunk of lemon for a couple of minutes on the grill, really makes it juicy .
about 15 minutes and done
added to our tasty salad sure did the trick tonight
then as usual another wonderful desert sunset
What a fun day exploring, walking, reading, great weather, happy hour, great supper and meeting another blogger.
Thank y'all for stopping by and just know you had a great day as well.

  3. Fun shopping! We got a few good things last time we were there. I have to go find some more of those microfiber mitts with smooth on one side and loopy on the other. Great! Also our rubber broom works really well on the mat we bought there for our outdoors. Never know what you might find amid all that stuff!

    1. That is my favourite time of the day to get things done. If you shop around the vendors some deals can be had. And meeting new people is fun especially after enjoying their blogs.

So nice to meet another blogger and she is a delight!
Did you put your foil on a pan as well to do your fish? We've not tried it on the grill but would like to.

    1. I have visited Hi Jolly quite a few times the area changes a bit every year.
It is always fun to meet fellow bloggers. She is always a going concern too.
For the fish just a double layer of foil does the trick, spray with pam or oil, no need to turn the fish, and easy to remove just slide the foil off the Q onto a cutting board and take inside.

  13. George, I'm concerned about the fuses that burn out so often, there must be a wire that is getting pretty hot under our dash to cause a fuse to pop, and if that many are doing so, maybe it is time to have it checked out before it causes a fire in your car. Might need to run a heaver gauge wire for those applications..
