Where are we today ?
Hey we had lotsa sunshine this morning and think it will be another awesome day! Coffees and computing waiting for the sunrise, then a few walkabouts the resort gonna be a great day I can tell.First on the agenda was to take Suzie to the Chiropractor in town she would like an adjustment. Got an appointment for 8:45 am. She feeling better and now we can carry on.
Grabbed our 18 already read books, that have to exchange. Two spots in town, first place picked up a few books. The next place took all the rest and gave us more credits got even more books.
We ended up with 18 more really good books (that we like) up paying $47.00 ( about $3.00 a book) in total will keep us going for a while. No we don't want a kindle (or whatever) we do love our paperbacks and exploring new places to exchange books, thats something we really enjoy. Suzie has an 8 page access data base of books we have read and books that we enjoy.
a few more books to our library |
I spent some time with sending a few emails out to various places to try and find new door hinges for our coach. with the help from Betty at Cates and Hill Rv just down the road. So helpful Betty is.
Then helped John replace the electric burner for the hot water tank in their coach. Before we know it time for Happy Hour. But overcast and gonna rain .
old burner is toast |
Inside their house for a bit and compare our days. Suzie got her doggie fix (bonus). Then the rain stopped we had a nice rainbow.
Hank, Piper and Suzie= Doggie fix |
nice rainbow |
quick and easy |
sure hit the spot and so tasty! |
Thanks for stopping in for a peak, come on back we having fun here.

That sure beats the weather you were having just a few days ago. We find a lot of book exchanges right in the places we stay. I have the Nook but still like to hold a book in my hand too. There's just something about a regular book.
ReplyDeleteThats what makes reading so special, in a real book and it fun exploring book stores all over the country.
DeleteHey...if anyone deserves a bit of good weather, it is you two! Enjoy... We are!
ReplyDeleteThanks we all enjoy the weather wherever we are.
DeleteLOVE reading too! But have succumbed to kindle on my iPad. Still would rather hold a book in my hands but no room at the inn and now I don't have any books to exchange. All a sad state of affairs. Lovely looking bratwurst…...
ReplyDeleteToo bad you don't have room, a real book is so nice.
DeleteWe had a gorgeous day also. Thank goodness. I have a Nook but don't use it very often. I also have the Kindle app on my phone which I use it when I'm sitting in the doctor's office waiting for Jim. Otherwise I want a book. There's a laundromat here in AJ where they sell books 3 for a buck. They have a lot of the same authors that you have. And we read about the same types of books. We also have a huge book exchange here in the park. Love it.
ReplyDeleteWe have exchanged books at almost every park we go to, but it getting harder to find good books we have not read yet
DeleteEven though I don't read that much any longer … my ol eyes and my attention span of a gnat keeps me from focusing … BUT I do love … when I traveled … going to a town's library and exchanging or buying their book sale books… great fun
ReplyDeleteI love bookstores … especially the Mom and Pop ones… I have no desire to get a Kindle either. I can download on my iPhone or Mac but that's one old fashioned concept I still embrace.
aw… Hank, Piper and Suzie… glad she got her bones popped… LOVE the rainbow!
75 Degrees??? oh, puhleeese
Yes all is pretty good here doing what we enjoy.
DeleteGreat selection of books. I have read many of them and love most of those authors. I agree, nothing is better than a book in the hand....unless you have a glass of wine in the other hand :)
ReplyDeleteWine for your is good, we enjoy our beer too whatever works with a good book is what we enjoy.
DeleteNice day you had.....great deal on the books!
ReplyDeleteMore books for a couple weeks here, love it.
DeleteLooks like you two read a lot of the same authors as Paul. We have an awesome used bookstore here in Houston too $3 a book is about as high as we will go. Happy reading
ReplyDeleteWe trade a lot of books in various parks, picked up quite a few for $1.00 each, but are fussy readers, some times we need to pay a little more, but really cheap entertainment.
DeleteRead, read, read. That's my idea of a great retirement - with RV travel, new friends, lots of free time.
ReplyDeleteYes we sure do love this lifestyle!
DeleteThat was quite the haul of books. Those will keep you busy for a good while. Those RV book exchanges are good too!. And we do find the odd book store open to exchanges. Hard to beat that! I have an ebook reader but much prefer to hold the real thing when reading.
ReplyDeleteWe went to the two book stores in Benson that do exchanges, pretty good deals we got. The one store takes some and the other will take all the rest and give us good credits.
