Not much happening today but we sure enjoyed it !

Where are we today ?
Another wonderful night for sleeping, cold yes, but we are snuggly warm in our beds great for sleeping. Up early as usual, love to see the Arizona sunrise over the mountains to the east. Just love Arizona.
Today again we have no plans. Just hang our and enjoy this wonderful weather we are having.
Wash our bedding today and just do a few walkabouts here and there works for us.
nice sunrise this morning
Chat with few people is always fun. We don't do activities in the resorts so that is not a priority for us.
But after a light lunch we can set our chairs out and enjoy just reading our books in the warm afternoon sun, we are really good at that. Every once in a while a short walkabout works good too.
Before we know it time to fire up our Weber Q. Bake a couple taters, fresh mushrooms and onions in foil, carrots in foil, grill some fresh shrimp and a tender porterhouse steak we picked up a while ago 1/2 price. Love checking out the meat specials early in the morning, either cook or freeze today.
this sure hit the spot, surf and turf
melt in your mouth tender
That's it for today, not much but we enjoy just hanging out. Works for us. Soon we busy visiting and stuff, so the down time is good.
Thanks for stopping by to relax with us and hope you had a nice sunny warm day too!

  1. Sounded like a nice Sunday to me. Like hitting the local Stater Brothers Market here early always lots of managers specials in the meat and deli cases, eat today or freeze, sure can't beat the savings. Dinner looked 5 star for sure. Cheers!

    1. Always looking for a good deal and that is a good way to eat expensive cuts of meat for a cheap price.

  2. About the same here. Only the complexion of the scenery is a different colour.

  3. That meal was definitely fit for a king.
As Bob said it's a good thing you're not back in Ontario or you would be in the freezer to keep warm. Be Safe and Enjoy!

    It's about time.

    1. Laundry only takes an hour or so and can read a book while the machines do all the work.

  10. Ahhh, the wonders of retirement. Such a lovely day. I notice that several of the comments mention a nice Sunday. No, it's any day of the week - nice! Dinner looks scrumptious; I could just dig right in.
I've also started looking for the "eat or freeze today" opportunities. I like the 96% lean hamburger at WalMart - it's usually about $5.50 a pound and comes in pound-size packages. Well, when it's a day from their selling expiration they mark it down just about 50%. A great deal for stocking up for later chile, hamburgers, soups, spaghetti sauce ........
