Where are we today ?
Well did we have an awesome day our what? I slept like a log until about 4 am (still not adjusted to the time zones yet). Did get my required 6-7 hours sleep anyway so all is good. Coffees and computing watch the Arizona sunrise, then walkabouts around the area. Yes its cool 25 f this morning, but no wind, no humidity, fresh un polluted air and the sun is rising, love it here!awesome sunrise |
a walk thru the wash early this morning, in the middle of the campground, so peaceful |
Then at 9 am they have Freedom Rv here at the clubhouse doing a presentation. Free coffee and donuts, listen to their stories for a bit and view a new coach that they brought for us to check out. It was fun and not just the free coffee and donuts but door prizes too! Suzie's name was drawn and we (she) won a new 2014 road atlas, something that really comes in handy at times.
Bonus at the book exchange here she 4 more good books.
Suzie's door prize |
While on the roof (washing) I took a few pics on the campground, pretty quiet here before Christmas, just the way we like it.
our campsite is huge |
me and my shadow here |
As the sun begins to set shortly after 5 o'clock I can finally fire our Weber Q for supper. It's been almost a week and we are Weber deprived!
Tonight some grilled potatoes, and a couple of boneless pork chops.
That was our wonderful sunny day, hope you had some great weather too wherever you are.
Weber Q in action! |
add some cole slaw from last night and a bun, really hit the spot |
Would like to thank ya'll for stopping by and for checking us out in our Texas adventure through the EXTREME weather we had. All is great now.

ReplyDeleteFeels so good just to be here!
DeleteLooks like you hit the perfect spot for you and Suzie..... right down tot he Weber Grill! Doesn't it feel so good to be able to relax and enjoy the life you anticipated? Just love it!
ReplyDeleteYes Sharon it sure does! This is what we love!
DeleteHappy days George - Happy days! Glad you are in a good spot. We've always just driven through Benson - have never stopped!
ReplyDeleteLotsa neat things in the area to see and do, its worth a stop.
DeleteI'm not sure that 65f is warm enough for shorts but it sure beats wearing sweats and trying to keep warm. Glad you're finally getting to enjoy some sunshine and no longer have to worry about the ice.
ReplyDelete65 f in the direct Arizona sun with no wind is pretty warm, mind you I really don't like long pants unless I really have to.
DeleteI love the big blue sky in Arizona. Enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteWe sure do enjoy it, so special.
DeleteKeep having fun George, that is what it is all about.
ReplyDeleteWith this lifestyle everyday is fun, I know you enjoy it too!
DeleteYou definitely don't want to be going back to Wally World for several days. Love that the Atlas is coiled, makes it easier to use.
ReplyDeleteWe had one like that but was 5 years old, comes in handy when we need to know what county we are in when we get storm warnings.
DeleteTo get the rig clean and shiny is always a relief, I find. To feel some increasing heat is a blessing too. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteOh yes loving the heat, and of course get the rig clean too.
DeleteThe skyline is the best in Arizona.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of the drive we had in Aug from Hoover dam to the Grand Canyon.
Always loved the Arizona Skylines!
DeleteSure looks like a nice place to relax at for a while, I like the looks of the wash also for those morning walks. Well good to see your able to start enjoying the Weber Q again. Hope to cross paths with you guys in the next few weeks. We will be in the Yuma, DHS and Mountain Lakes areas over the period of the next month.
ReplyDeleteYuma over Christmas and New Years, then Holtville BLM, then? Then Quartzsite for 2-3 weeks, Maybe DHS. Hope we can meet up with you somewhere, drop in anytime.
DeleteForgot to mention beautiful pictures you captured enjoyed!
ReplyDeleteWow, that looks so good - the campsite, the weather, the relaxing ambience and the food!
