Arizona sunshine and a wonderful warm day hanging out ....

Where are we today ?
Well did we have an awesome day our what? I slept like a log until about 4 am (still not adjusted to the time zones yet). Did get my required 6-7 hours sleep anyway so all is good. Coffees and computing watch the Arizona sunrise, then walkabouts around the area. Yes its cool 25 f this morning, but no wind, no humidity, fresh un polluted air and the sun is rising, love it here!
awesome sunrise
a walk thru the wash early this morning,
in the middle of the campground, so peaceful
Then at 9 am they have Freedom Rv here at the clubhouse doing a presentation. Free coffee and donuts, listen to their stories for a bit and view a new coach that they brought for us to check out. It was fun and not just the free coffee and donuts but door prizes too!  Suzie's name was drawn and we (she) won a new 2014 road atlas, something that really comes in handy at times.
Bonus at the book exchange here she 4 more good books.
Suzie's door prize
The I get to do a quick trip to town, fill out 5 gallon RO water jug and check out the Safeway store, Wally World (Walmart) just down the block but we know what they have. Back home for a bite for lunch and with a wonderful sunny 65f day gonna wash our coach. Get all the road grime off and make like new again! Shorts and T shirt weather, love it!!
While on the roof (washing) I took a few pics  on the campground, pretty quiet here before Christmas, just the way we like it.
our campsite is huge
me and my shadow here
Ok, no reading for me today=too busy. And about 4 pm time for our Happy Hour with John and Barb, nice time to catchup.
As the sun begins to set shortly after 5 o'clock I can finally fire our Weber Q for supper. It's been almost a week and we are Weber deprived!
Tonight some grilled potatoes, and a couple of boneless pork chops.
Weber Q in action!
add some cole slaw from last night and a bun,
really hit the spot
That was our wonderful sunny day, hope you had some great weather too wherever you are.
Would like to thank ya'll for stopping by and for checking us out in our Texas adventure through the EXTREME weather we  had. All is great now.

  4. I'm not sure that 65f is warm enough for shorts but it sure beats wearing sweats and trying to keep warm. Glad you're finally getting to enjoy some sunshine and no longer have to worry about the ice.

    1. 65 f in the direct Arizona sun with no wind is pretty warm, mind you I really don't like long pants unless I really have to.

  7. You definitely don't want to be going back to Wally World for several days. Love that the Atlas is coiled, makes it easier to use.

    1. We had one like that but was 5 years old, comes in handy when we need to know what county we are in when we get storm warnings.

  8. To get the rig clean and shiny is always a relief, I find. To feel some increasing heat is a blessing too. Enjoy!

  9. The skyline is the best in Arizona.
Reminds me of the drive we had in Aug from Hoover dam to the Grand Canyon.
