Where are we today ?

        Have to mention this today. This is friday the 13th, the year 2013 and we are on site number 13, now is that a coincidence?  They say three is a charm!

        Well this weather could be kinda boring for some people but not for us. Up early as usual, 4:30 a.m. (still have not adjusted to the 3 hour time difference). Got the coffees, computing and walkabouts done, enjoying the beautiful blue, cloudless Arizona skies.

       Our friends John and Barb secured their coach and hit the road by 9 a.m. heading to Yuma. We will see them again in a week or so down there somewhere.

      A perfect day here, temps hitting the high 60's f great for just puttering about and a few more walkabouts. Then we can really enjoy a quiet afternoon immersed in our books in the comfortable Arizona sunshine, vitamin D ya know.

        About noon a couple walking by stopped to chat and see where we are from in Ontario, they are from Grimsby about 1 hour from our home base. Nice to meet people from so close to home.

        While sitting out reading later on another nice friendly couple dropped by to chat and ask about what we use for a tow car and filled them in with what our opinions are. Ends up he is from this area and she is from Guelph Ontario about 45 minutes from our home base, again a small world

Afternoon Blue skies with the moon rising

        We did  get some quality reading time done today and thoroughly enjoyed it! Checked our freezer and found beautiful Pickerel (Walleye) fillet that we had picked up this past summer right off the fishing boats on Lake Erie. Vacuum sealed, fresh frozen so it was excellent. Because of the different thicknesses I grilled it on foil to keep it moist.

         Added to the pickerel I whipped up a rice pilaf with broccoli and carrots, a tossed salad and some fresh baked pillsbury crescent rolls. Sure hit the spot and of course we have leftovers.

       That was it for our relaxing Arizona day, looking forward to more in the near future, most likely the next few days.
