Monday and another awesome day, nice and quiet after the weekend.

Where are we today ?
Excellent sleeping last night, windows open fantastic fan running and about 65f, inside , just perfect. Then this morning we have a nice sunrise on our patio and we have no bugs here gotta love it!
So after the morning coffees, computing and walkabouts headed into Buckhorn looking for something on sale for supper tonight. Bonus they have chicken so for $4.00 got a mess of chicken legs and thighs for later on.
But laundry day so Suzie sorts all the stuff, including our throw rugs and I headed into the laundry mat in Lakefield, got all 4 large loads washed and dried in less than an hour for under $15.00. Even got to read for a while too while these comercial machines do their work. Oh while I was gone Suzie got into a cleaning mode and washed some walls and ceilings such an energetic woman. But ya know she just got hot enough that she actually had to turn our airconditioner on for a while, second time this year.
Back home she put all the stuff away and we can enjoy the shade outside with our books for a while. Then over to visit Frank and Heather, we have not chatted with them for a couple years. They spend the summer here and their winters in Mesa Arizona. So nice to catch up with each other once in a while, a super couple.
Enough of this playing, now gotta cook supper for Suzie, so fired up the Weber Q, to grill our chicken, add to some potato salad I made earlier ( left over baked potatoes) and left over coleslaw we had a wonderful summertime supper. Of course you know we love BBQ'd chicken. No desert, (we are not really desert eaters very often) thats it for todays meals like usual, small sandwich for lunch and tasty home cooked meal for supper. Now if was not for the beer would fade away to nothing. Been there done that!
tender juicy chicken, and stuff
There ya go we got caught up with our chores and had another awesome day to boot! Once again the weather guesser predicted wrong, supposed to be thunderstorms this afternoon, sorry guys did not happen.
Thanks for stopping in to check us out. And I just know you had a great day too!

  1. You eating style matches us so much. Leftover potatoes...another great idea for my list! Nice sale on the chicken. Every time someone comes over...we have to show and brag up the Q. Gearing up for laundry mats...washer and dryer SOLD...leaves on Friday.

    1. Gotta love your Q. Amazing grill!
Some campgrounds have great laundrys but ususally limit you to 2 machines. And are very reasonable. But when we want to do a lot at once better to head to town do as many loads as you like real quick.

  2. I'd love to get a "Q," but where the heck would I store it in a Toyota Dolphin? :-(

    1. Now that could be a problem, maybe a hitch carrier on the back , we had one on our Van conversion, many years ago, just for that purpose

  3. Isn't it a great feeling to get the chores done? Suzie and I must have even the same Wheaties for breakfast...I did a lot of cleaning too. It's so nice to have everything nice and clean!

  4. I love bbq chicken too ... and steak and hamburgers and fish and vegetables. I guess I love just about everything off the barbecue.

Paul and I enjoy reading also. We haven't done a huge amount since we got back to Ohio. What are you two reading?

We both enjoy detective, lawyer, murder, mystery books, e.g.; David Baldacci, Lee Child, Michael Connelly, Sue Grafton, Tami Hoag, J.A. Jance, James Patterson, Stuart Woods etc..... Suzie has an 8 page Access data base listing about 150 of our favourite authors and over 1,600 books that we have read and enjoyed.
