Happy Anniversary to us!! 20 years we did it and still having fun!!!!

Where are we today ?

Guess what 20 years ago today Suzie and I today tied  the knot! Yep we did it, we got married!! Hey, I picked her, (chased her for a while)  and she gave in to me, we became best friends first, she put up with me,  we did stuff together and have made a wonderful life for the two of us together. I had my restaurant and she had a real job, but somehow we made it work. I had big baggage, like two ex wives and three children but hey, she jumped right in and did an amazing job! Not sure why but she stuck with me.
We got married at her sister's place in Tavistock had a back yard wedding, pictures taken in the bush out back, reception in their, driving shed. Pig roast for supper 135 people there. Above ground pool, a friend was a DJ and photographer for the wedding. Everyone had a great time and we headed off to Toronto at midnight to catch a plane to Miami for a one week cruise in the Caribbean  for our honeymoon! My restaurant somehow survived with the great staff I had at the time.
thats Suzie and me 20  years ago
We both had dream, retire young and get away from the cold Canadian winters. Bought a home in 1993  and totally gutted the place made it look just the way we wanted it to be and looked real pretty. Well in 2006 we made it happen. Things came together, sold the house made buckets of money (small buckets) and we bought the rv of our dreams and the rest is history.
So now here we are just hanging out doing stuff and enjoy a wonderful life, moving about here and there in the summer visiting family and friends and anywhere warm in the winter months. Life is good. We are still enjoying this wonderful life and hope we can for quite a few more years yet.
Afternoon we enjoyed our books in the shade for a while chatted with a few neigbors, puttered around here and there and even went for a refreshing dip in the pool, perfect day for it.
pool is perfect, not crowded

After our cool down swim, Pat and Norm dropped by for a Happy hour before we began our anniversary supper. Not going out tonight don't have the craving. Figured I can cook a much better meal here for a lot less money so thats what we did.

Began with a mess of escargot with garlic butter and cheese and a fresh baguette.  While the taters mushrooms, onions and corn were cooking on the grill.

tasty appetizers and wine
Then just moved right along to grilling our prime rib steaks (bought for 1/2 price yesterday, soon we had a wonderful filling anniversary meal perfect for a wonderful 20 year anniversary supper.
grilled a couple fresh shrimp too,
surf and turf
So there, had a great day, relaxed a bit afterwords outside neighbors dropped by to chat for a while then we just called it a night. We were going to do something extra special, but just not right now maybe later on this year or maybe for our 25th whadda ya think?
Hey thanks for stopping by to celebrate our 20 years together, promise to have a bigger party for the next 20 ok? Y'all come back now hear?

    Three's the charm?

Suits in the 80s did have a certain look to them, didn't they?
