Where are we today ?

A beautiful bright sunny day, But.... cold windy gusts to 27 mph (43kph) right from the North east . But in the sun and out of the wind was nice enough to read outside after a few walkabouts.
After a couple of windy walkabouts I made a quick trip to Olsens in Ajo for a few groceries, and back home to putter around a bit then a nice tasty light lunch.
Noticed today that with our solar panel tilted our batteries were at a full charge before 10 and and we could charge our computers and devices and still maintain a full charge, gotta love it. And with our computers plugged in can get our updates done as well.
After lunch around the corner in Why to fill our 5 gallon water jug with (RO) reverse osmosis purified water. Kinda cool to have this machine almost in the middle of nowhere and only one dollar for 5 gallons.
cruising around the other day I found this machine, right beside the Community Building |
while filling the water I turned around to look out at the desert |
a nice spot out of the wind |
Enjoying this reading time I finished the book I started yesterday and dove right into another page turner.
While reading our books the wind is blowing around us as well as some blowing dust. Over there not so much here,
this is the dog run right behind us dusty? yup! |
About 4:30 I turned our Weber Q so my wind screen would block the strong winds. Preheated it , made a salad and set on a small pork loin roast and grilled some sweet potato slices.
about 45 minutes all done to perfection |
and little applesauce that I love with roast pork |
A pretty nice way to end up another sunny desert day outside |
Glad we weren't traveling today with these winds and dust storms happening. No problem we quite like here. and most likely will stay another week, because we can. 40 bucks for a week, free wifi, water tap beside us, dump station, garbage dumpster, a decent laundry room and friendly people.
Thanks again for stopping on by and hope y'all had a wonderful day as well.

ReplyDeleteWww quite comfy here so should be just fine.
DeleteOh no too bad about the wind driven fires hope you don't have too many issues wth them and you are safe.
It was a windy day for sure. It was much cooler than we like also. However, we really shouldn't complain. The weather is not quite so nice almost anywhere else.
ReplyDeleteThat' right we don't complain it can always be worse, as long as the sun is shining all is wonderful.
DeleteHere in Sierra Vista same weather. 25 degrees as I write this. Still nicer than back home and it will get warmer. Will have to stay sometime in Coyote Howls East as you certainly can't beat the price.
ReplyDeleteWe do enjoy it here at Coyote Howls, Nt so cold here 40 degrees at 6 am , like you said still better than back home.

ReplyDeleteYes it is amazing the things we can find just by looking. The sunsets are really wonderful here.
DeleteIt's always so sunny down there! Does it never rain?
ReplyDeleteIt is almost always sunny and mostly never rains , In the summer they have the monsoons. And maybe a bit during the winter but does not add up to very much at all.
