Much warmer last night sleeping with a few windows open. Was about 52 f (11C) at 4:30 this morning looks like just another awesome desert day. Perfect, it is a tough job but somehow we manage. The sunrise was very interesting for a change and I got a nice walkabout the desert.

this mornings sunrise |

all around this resort is the desert, lots of nice trails |
About 6 am I took the turkey bone from last night's BBQ'd turkey and let it simmer for a couple of hours to make a nice tasty soup broth. When I got back from my walkabouts I drained the broth and added all my veggies, spices and turkey. Then about 10:30 I put some into another pot for Bill and Patsy. They don't like egg noodles so she gave me some barley for theirs. No Problem we have lotsa soup here.

small pot for Bill and Patsy |
Suzie had a bowl of stoup added to many noodles so it is very hearty stew/soup.(stoup)
|
as usual very tasty and still some for a few more lunches. |
Just after noon the sun was on our site, no wind, so open our awning and you know it is hot when Suzie puts on her shorts in the shade! Quality reading time outside.
|
the weather site said 77F today but was warmer than that this is our thermometer in the shade awesome ! and only 10% humidity |
|
wonderful views |
Then 3 pm Happy hour at Bill and Pasty's today and now Clemson is quite comfortable jumping on her knee.

We had just began chatting and who should appear but Bill and Dee. Think we saw Bill a couple of years ago at Bloggerfest and Dee back in 2013 in Benson Arizona. Now this is great that they stopped by and are actually camping here in this park. We have been following each others Blogs for years, His is on our sidebar
"One Day More" Going to Algodones a perfect place to camp and the closest campground to Mexico, with reasonable rates. Oh and yes Croft they did pass on the message, thanks and hi back to you and Norma.

Dee and Bill |
Soon it was cooling down so wrapped up Happy Hour and whipped up supper. A pretty easy one tonight. We have lotsa turkey, leftover mashed taters and gravy, so something have not had for quite while. Ok yes we have had turkey but love it so what better meal than a hot Turkey sandwich, my fresh cranberry orange sauce with broccoli and cauliflower.
|
very tasty and hit the spot |
While eating supper we just had to look out our dining room window to enjoy another very colourful sunset.
|
what a wonderful way to end another day of great winter weather |
I just read a posting by Scott (
Living Large in the North) from Alberta Canada. He and his wife we met at Elephant Butte state park in New Mexico. They have 7 very well behaved young children that they homeschool. His Christmas posting is so heartwarming and definitely worth a read. Scott telling about the generosity of all the rv'ers there in that park. They are in Quail Ridge resort in Huachuca City Arizona his posting is
HERE .

they stopped by to say good bye on our last day there almost a month ago |
