Another wonderful sunny morning to begin a great desert day. Cool as the desert is but warmed up very nicely as the sun came up. Did get to 75 F (24c) but with a few clouds and slight breeze felt much cooler, especially in the shade. My first walkabout snagged this wonderful early morning sunrise, Another great way to start the day.
Then at 7.40 am I made a quick trip to the Del Sol market in Yuma for a few needed items and back home about 8:30, beat the traffic. And shopping crowds.
another walkabout the nice area by the laundry room |

Where have we been this winter ?
Beautiful spot and interesting signs. I see Suzi is having a dog fix. I've never heard of eating pigtails.
ReplyDeleteThanks Anna we love this area in the desert sound Christmas always warm and sunny. Pigtails are popular in our area back home, and can find them in the Grocery stores that in the Mexican type grocery stores quite tasty, but Suzie doe not care for them. Too much fat.
DeleteSure like your decorations. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kevin and Tracy hope you have a very Merry Christmas as well.
DeleteLove the pic of the two of you in front of your home! Cute! Karaoke looked fun to watch. Sunrise beautiful once again, but as long as we wake up, they all are! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteThank you, The Karaoke is always fun with Joe. Waking up every morning really makes for an awesome day, and the colourful sunrises make them even better.
DeleteI've not stayed there while in Yuma, but it looks like a nice place to camp. LOVE those sunsets!!!
ReplyDeleteWe have enjoyed this park for years, It is open to the public I believe $30 a day without a membership, Not real fancy but level clean sites, a nice heated pool and hot tub, full hookups and some nice large decent sites. And the desert views all around us. and usually not real crowded either.
DeleteLovely Christmas photo. Suzie looks so festive in her red shirt.
ReplyDeleteThanks Contessa, T'is the season, Ho, Ho, Ho,,,,
DeleteWe all had another great day in Paradise. The days are getting warmer again too and the clouds have moved on out. Yay!
ReplyDeleteFun times last night at Karaoke. Would have been 'funner' if had got up to sing. :)
It was a fun day for sure and many more on the way.
DeleteThe Karaoke was fun, but I don't think me singing would be funny at all, probably cleared the place out real quick . lol...
That is one pretty sunrise and plate of pork. We're paying $2.75 for regular here on the FL Gulf Coast - glad I don't live in CA.
ReplyDeleteThanks Larry it was very tasty. We don't travel a lot in California and can usually get our fuel in Arizona so not too bad.
DeleteLove your new photo. Many of the membership parks seem to be slipping away. If not slipping, their prices have increased. Merry Christmas to both of you!
ReplyDeleteThanks thought it was time for a newer photo. We still the same though. The membership parks are slipping away or changing but even with the increase still very reasonable.
DeleteMerry Christmas to you guys as well.
Tom had heard the price for gas was quite a bit higher in California but that is quite a difference.
ReplyDeleteIt is so true that the best days just seem to quietly and quickly pass by. I agree it is because they are easy to enjoy and when you are with people you enjoy being with they are all the more perfect. Great sunrise and sunset pictures.
Yes a huge difference in fuel prices in California, but has always been that way since we have been coming this way.
DeleteWe do love the scenery here and hanging out with friends is a bonus as well.
Merry Christmas. Getting gas in AZ instead of CA makes it all the more merrier! :c)
ReplyDeleteThats for sure, thanks guys!
DeleteHave a great Christmas!
ReplyDeleteThank Stew same to to your and Mrs. FG.
DeleteA wonderful day. Love the sign and the sunrise/sunset pics, truly awesome. I like the new pic of you and Suzie. Fuel is expensive in California. Amazing how time slips past without our realizing it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Deb, I love the sign as well. And make sure you fuel up in Arizona velour you come to California.
DeleteIt is amazing how time flies when we are in the southwest enjoying this wonderful winter weather.
