Not a bad night at all 48f at 5 am and no wind! After coffee and computing I headed out for my first walkabout the park, so peaceful at this time and was able to catch a nice sunrise in the process.
Also walking about was Patsy, she feeling brand new today after a dizzy day yesterday, Thats a good thing. I did manage to catch a sunrise across the desert by Pilot Knob peak It kind of just sneaks in over the horizon.

Now the sun is really warming up our day |
|
love the decorations on this fence |
Shortly after this we got out our Christmas decorations just because we can and Christmas is just around the corner. Did the decorating with the Yule log flickering away on our tv . Really heated us up quickly. Not only that with clear blue skies and only a light breeze the temperature got up to 72F (22C) in no time yup we sure like this weather here.

out side done, Santa Hats for our coach mirrors whadda ya think? Lost our other ones 2 years ago in a windstorm |

Merry Christmas |
After lunch I drove the LTVA behind us and the 14 day free camping to see how busy it was. Not so much as in previous years. At the office Kathy was saying hardly any Canadians this year because of the exchange rate. We can deal with that as we don't have a place to look after back home and need to be somewhere for the winter. This is actually cheaper for us being in the sun and warmth than staying back home in Ontario.
Now to enjoy a very comfortable afternoon in the sun and shade with next to no wind at all enjoying our e-readers. Even had to open our awning for some shade. A perfect afternoon. Bill and Patsy we out and about for the day so Suzie got her doggie fix with Clemson. Doggie day care duty and she loved every minute of it.

|
so a walkabout they did, so many new smells here for him |
Bill and Patsy made it home for Happy hour so we discussed how their day went and they did get some things taken care of. While chatting we had rv friends Jean and Skip drop by for a short visit as well. They met Bill and Patsy whose blogs they have been following as well. They are camped not far down the road and were passing by. Always nice to see them again.

Suzie, Patsy, Bill |
At 5 pm the 4 of us headed down to the clubhouse to partake in Burger night. Suzie and I enjoyed a BBQ'd chicken breast non a bun (all the fixings) with Beans, chips and a cookie only $5.00 each. Bill and Patsy enjoyed burgers, this sure hit the spot, help out the park and we had a tasty meal out (in the park).

the friendly staff serving up our food |
|
a very tasty treat for a change |
Back home by 6 pm and got to take a picture of our Christmas decorations after dark,
|
much nicer after dark |
We walked back home and caught the tail end of another nice desert sunset across the desert over the Imperial Sand Dunes. So nice that this is almost right outside our door.
|
another ed sky is a perfect way to end another wonderful day |
No complaints at all, not hot but sunny and quite warm in the sun. Next to no wind makes for the kind of winter days that we enjoy.
Thanks again for stopping on by and hope y'all had a wonderful day as well wherever you may be.

ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!
Thanks Jeff you would actually be surprised how much storage there actually is in a Class A motorhome and how little space these decorations take
DeleteYour Christmas decorations look very festive... As always such a nice sunrise to start a new day and a beautiful sunset to mellow out on.
ReplyDeleteThanks guys, The sunrise and sunsets here are very nice another reason we love it here and most of the southwest.
DeleteThe motorhome looks great George!
ReplyDeleteI have to admit I don't get to see the sunrise very often. I'm more of a sunset kinda guy! :-)

ReplyDeleteThanks Peter.
DeleteEnjoy you White Christmas in your ne new home. We don't miss the white and do enjoy a nice sunny Christmas.
With all those decorations, there is no chance Santa will miss you on Christmas Eve! :cD
ReplyDeleteThanks, that's the plan!
DeleteSounds like a great day! Your Christmas decorations look great. In all of our years RVing that is something we have never done, we just don't have the room to carry them about with.
ReplyDeleteWe sure have noticed that things are generally more expensive in the US this year than in past years and that doesn't even include the exchange rate. It seems prices have definitely gone up and we really have to watch what we are buying to make sure we are getting a deal. Thank goodness it won't be long before we are in Mexico. I know gas will be more expensive there but almost everything else should be cheaper.
Ruth It was a wonderful day, and we have so much storage in the coach, spaces we have nit even used yet, so yes our decorations we can carry.
DeleteThe prices got up a bit every year even in Mexico, we take all that into consideration but still shop wisely.
We can still live and travel much cheaper here in the states than Canada and even Mexico the way we like to travel and camp.
