The beginning of another warm sunny week, man this is the life!

Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it
Another very nice desert sunrise this morning after my walkabout by 7:30 this morning. Got my first mile done by the canal after coffees and computing and now ready for another wonderful day.
so peaceful here and right by the water
On my way back home the sun's rising to give me a wonderful red sky. What a perfect way to energize the day.
Then a trip to the New Dollar General in town (just opened today) to top up our Verizon account, get a top up for my Trac Fon and a couple of Santa hats for Christmas. A couple of years ago ours blew away in a dust storm and I finally found some replacements. Stopped by the Rv store and picked up a tube of Dicor self levelling caulking to do some touch ups on the roof of our coach. Perfect weather to get this done.
After a light lunch I took a drive about the area , then way down the canal a couple of miles, crossed a bridge and back up the other side, nice smooth dirt roads here are well maintained.
nice roads by the canal
Then I headed south a few more miles and west just checking out all the desert scenery. Lots of desert homes along here then came across this interesting building below.
Looks like it has been here a while
Now time to relax a bit, Got a page turner to finish reading and what better way than in the shade of a nice and warm winter day, Shorts and sandals are in order as well.
nice view and so quiet
I took a break after a bit and got on the roof to apply the caulking that needed to be done after removing the vent cover and cleaning the areas. Only takes about 30 minutes to inspect the roof and get this all done but is a worth while preventative measure against water leaks.
so now to read a bit more,
 a few walkabouts cause I can't sit
 still for two long anyway.
A house not far from here to the north
At one point a nice old fellow, Leonard and his dog came by of his golf cart and chatted for a few minutes, Him and his dog have been here for 5 years now, he is a local handyman and very friendly, Nice to meet him and know everything is wonderful and safe here.
I finished my page turner book and began another below did not take me long to figure out that it was a little weird for me. So into the dumpster it went and began another. We have lots of books for our e-readers so not an issue.
nope not this one,
Suzie did not like it either
So pulled up this one always enjoy J.A.Jance and her J.P. Beaumont series always good page turner mysteries.
another good read
Ok now eventually time to whip up supper tonight a couple of boneless pork chops done on our grill mat with BBQ sauce for a change and the rest of our spaghetti squash with butter, Italian seasoning and parmesan cheese .
not very long for these chops
Added to our salad and sure did the trick
Then once again another wonderful desert sunset, we never get tired of these
Just enjoying more of this great weather here in the southwest, Always something to keep us busy and the clear blue sunny skies make it even much better.
Thanks for taking the time to stop on by and all your wonderful comments.

  5. I see they have Dicor at the place down the road for $8.99 I think. I paid $17.50 for it in Alberta! But still a lot less than a leak! You gotta do the maintenance.

    1. That's right Dave a little maintenance can save you a lot of money, Yes the decor is so much more affordable here is the states, than back in Canada.

  9. Love my e reader, too. I've had to dump a book or two, sure is easy to do with the e reader, a swipe of the finger and it's gone, gone, gone! :c)

  10. Love the old buildings, sure would like to have some of that old wood! Just a beautiful day! You remind me of Ken, he can't sit for too long either and the fact that he doesn't read books he's always looking for something to do. Now me, give me a good book I'm a happy camper! Love the e readers for that same reason, not into the book there's always another! Great dinner and sunset!
