HAPPY MOTHER"S DAY !

It is cool and overcast today but no problem we have things to do so will be busy anyway.
Spotted the geese thing morning by the pond this year one couple
and 6 Goose Puppies
After my first walkabout we headed down to the clubhouse for the free Mother's Day Breakfast, cooked to order and was a very nice treat , Mine was $7.00 still not too bad either the proceeds go to park functions.
done perfectly
Paul and Judy Helping with Breakfast,
borrow this pic from Monique, Thanks
It was much nicer than mine
After breaky a few more walkabouts then just after 11 am we hopped in the car to a visitation to the funeral home in Durham. Some very dear friends Uncle had passed away, and we felt like we knew him, they talked about him so much. We stopped by there for a bit then visited another couple we know quite well just down the road. This be their place below. We spent a lot of fun times with both of these couples this past winter in the south west desert.
Bill and Patsy's summer Place
The Ridge
First time we have been here so we got the full tour, what a wonderful spot to spend the summer months here in Ontario.
Lovely Garden
So nice to see Bill and Patsy again, and check out the RIDGE. Bill's Blog is HERE  , Patsy's Blog HERE .
always smiling, even on a cool windy day
No sitting outside today too chilly, inside their puppy Clemson jumped on Suzie's lap and gave her lotsa kisses. Another doggie fix for her, mother's day treat !
So nice to see them again and love their Ridge
After flapping our gums for quite a while we had to head out still had 2 and 1/2 hour drive to get home and stop for a bite along the way.
Taking a lot of back roads and enjoying the no traffic and rush, Suzie noticed this amazing tractor coming down the field. It was a  HUGE piece of machinery, three all together, looked like were cultivating , planting and fertilizing all on one operation.
mind you I know nothing about farming
As we passed thorough Bayfield on the way home honked the horn and waved down the road to say hi to The Bayfield Bunch. It was almost 6 pm and we had a rumbling in our tummies for supper, its has been a long time since breaky.
Followed highway 21 south down to Grogs pub and Grill a place not far from Rock Glen. We know they have great food so this was the place to stop for a feast, As we expected the place was packed, we checked in and a 30 minute wait for a table. But we could sit at the bar right away and eat there right away. Heck why not Suzie did not mind and we were thirsty and hungry.
They place was packed even th back room, but service was excellent, and the staff very friendly, as well as the food done to perfection, no problems here thats for sure. Not real fancy but typical pub atmosphere worked for us. And reasonable as well.
This spot worked for us
Shared a caesar salad
Free Carnation and Mimosa for Suzie
She enjoyed a penne pasta with chicken and garlic bread.
me the excellent fish and chips
392 kms (243 miles today)
That was our busy mother's day was cool over cast and a bit rainy but got things done that we wanted to do.
Hope your Mother's day was a good one as well.
       Thanks for stopping on by.

Where have we been this summer ?

    1. That tractor and set up was really amazing, never seen one like that before. They do some major framing here in southern Ontario . It was a very nice mother's day and messages from the kids as well.
