Where are we today ?
Another great nights sleep and up early as usual. Get the computing done, coffees made and drank it all, walkabouts as soon as the the sun rises. Love the early morning walkabouts.Notice the flags below by the entrance of this park. Arizona, USA and Canada. this is a snowbird park for sure in Benson.
the wash that runs through the park is dry as usual
We are all secured and off to the Super lube Plus in Benson. Have been going here every year since 2006 for a lube oil and filter on our coach. been our normal 3,000 miles since we left home and we like them here, very thorough and no appointments necessary. They open at 8 am and we were there right on time. In and out 20 minutes and always do a great job. ( I watch them). Hooked up the car and we heading west. Destination today is Pilot Knob rv resort just slightly west of Yuma Arizona.

Arrived at Pilot Knob Resort around 2 pm, checked in and got the most amazing site here for 13 nights. Just missed Joe and Betty who left here earlier today. We met them last year maybe run into them in Desert Hotsprings after here.
Full hookups here facing west, afternoon sun on a corner lot, huge patio and no neighbors beside us. How can you beat that? Oh did I say $9:00 a night with our AOR membership. Love this park and the area too.

No more long travels days until the spring. Just gonna wander about the desert from here to there and enjoy this great weather.
Thanks for coming along for the journey, think we will just take it easy for a while now.

Check out the interactive map below to see where we have been this Winter.
So jealous about the lack of humidity. If only I could send some of ours! Did you say hi to Gila Bend for us! Sure miss our twisty cones at the Shell - exit 118. Looks like a great place to land. Can't believe the gas prices!!!!
ReplyDeleteMissed Gila Bend sorry.
DeleteWe do love the dry air here in Arizona, make me feel so good.
Sure like your new home and view for the next couple of weeks. No time was wasted in getting that Weber Q going again. Enjoyed seeing all your pic's along the way. Have an AWESOME Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteMissed our Weber since last friday, it was way overdue.
DeleteThanks for coming along.
Uh, I kinda think that's an Arizona state flag on the left...... Not Texas.... Someone might take offense... LOL
ReplyDeleteYou are so right thanks for bringing it to my attention. Got it fixed now. We have been through so many states I forgot for a minute where we were.
DeleteIf you are going to be at CatSpa for Christmas we pull in there December 23rd for two weeks then it's back to Pilot Knob for 28 days. Hope to see you at CatSpa
ReplyDeleteWe be there for Christmas and New Years, see ya then.
DeleteFar as I can look up, that third flag is neither Texas, Arizona, California, nor Baja. Unless you like searching flag images, the easiest way to find out what it is would be to go ask the office. Good that you've reached where you want to be. Weather here in the Florida Keys is awesome. We're 18 feet from the Atlantic ocean at high tide, and there's no noticeable humidity. Unlike our previous stop in Fort Lauderdale!
ReplyDeleteThe Flag on the left is and Arizona one, just flapping in the wind.
DeleteEnjoy the Keys while you are there.
That park is very familiar to us too. We've stayed there several times and also at the BLM which surrounds it. The $2.24 price on the fuel is about the cheapest we've heard of. In the Phoenix area we've seen it at $2.35. Glad you made it and hope to connect with you in January -- someplace, sometime.
ReplyDeleteWe have done the BLM behind as well, we do enjoy this area.
Deleteam sure we will meet up in this wonderful state somewhere.
$2.24 a gallon! Unheard of! Great to see pictures of that area again...brings back memories.
ReplyDeleteThink you guys need to wander out west soon, its awesome out here.
DeleteWhy didn't you stop? We'd love to meet you. Jim and Sandie will be here on Friday and I know they want to meet you too. We need to go to Mexico for dental work. How long will you be at Pilot Knob?
ReplyDeleteWe really just wanted to get here and put up our feet, enjoy the sunshine. Just trying to make up for lost time.
DeleteWe plan to be here until Dec. 22nd, We want to meet you guys too, more than welcome to stop by or we could meet up somewhere, just let us know.
I love seeing that sunshine. It is snowing here right now yuck.
ReplyDeleteHope those prices stick around until we get there.
Gotta get back to Texas and head this way. The fuel prices seem to be dropping everyday, we have gotten lucky catching the good deals.
DeleteWell worth the long trip to get there, and with gas at $2.24, how could you not come? ;c)
ReplyDeleteIt sure makes the trip much more affordable.
Deleteoh baruther ... the lack of humidity is so inviting ... but, somehow, I got sand/dirt itis ... HAhaaa... well, it's rought but somebody had to have that view ~ beautiful food!
ReplyDeleteThanks again, we can deal with abit of dust no problem to enjoy these views and great weather.
DeleteGood food, good views, no humidity. Sounds perfect to me!
ReplyDeleteIt really is amazing and we love it!
DeleteYou have arrived, enjoy :)
ReplyDeleteWe have and we will for sure.
DeleteI just read that gas in Indiana is now under $2.00/gal. But who in their right mind wants to be in Indiana this time of year?!?
ReplyDeleteGood price for gas , but not for us at this time of year either.
