Where are we today ?
Well heck, it was pretty warm last night, about 50f when I got up at 4:30 this morning. Windows open, fresh air and had some sunshine today. Would have made it a perfect day.But sure beats the alternative of being back home (cold snow and stuff).
Lotsa walkabouts today and fresh air is so good. We really enjoy this area while we are here.
It was even nice enough to spend a couple hours outside reading and chatting with neighbor DC (from Washington) next door who brought his dog over and we enjoyed some interesting conversation for quite a while.
Suzie got her Doggie fix when Shadow came to visit |
This afternoon I marinated a couple boneless chicken breasts, cut them up and assembled 2 kebobs for supper. On our Weber Q 100 and when just about done, fresh asparagus to add to our salads.
low and slow is the trick |
even tasted pretty good too |
Thanks again for joining us here in Texas, shoulda stopped in for a visit.

Check out the interactive map below to see where we have been this Winter.
But I see that Suzie is wearing a long sleeve jacket ! Don't need that here so I figure it's about time you pulled up stakes and continued WEST !!
ReplyDeleteWe would have been there quite a while ago except for family health issues. Soon we hope.
DeleteYou need to put that foot on the accelerator and get a little farther west. It'll warm up a lot faster for you in the morning when you do.
ReplyDeleteThats what we are hoping for.
DeleteHang in there as I think you might be getting some weather coming your way.
ReplyDeleteIt's getting a bit warmer and we will take it.
DeleteYes, the nice weather is back in Houston too. Unfortunately, I leave for Ohio today. Why luck....hehe
ReplyDeleteSafe travels to Ohio, hope its not too cold there for you.
DeleteKebobs look terrific! Hope your mom's health will allow you to continue west!
ReplyDeleteThanks Cindy we hope so too.
DeleteThe Kebobs looked delicious! I have to try grilling my asparagus direct on the grill instead of wrapping in foil they looked great. Glad your weather is heading toward the warmer side.
ReplyDeleteFor the asparagus , spray with a little olive oil, sprinkle with a touch of sea salt and only a minute or 2 perside does it nicely. Yep warming a bit here.
DeleteI have to try that with the asparagus sure looks better than the way I do it. Wishing your mom a speedy recovery. You need to get to that warm weather.
ReplyDeleteThe asparagus turns our great that way.
DeleteAnd thanks for ma 's good wishes too.
