Where are we today ?
This morning up at the usual time (early like 5 am). but well rested. Got the computing and coffees done and when the sun comes up ready to get the walkabouts into place.
nice moon setting |
Now while enjoying our e-readers had a Roadrunner, run around our site. First one we have seen this year. Amazing birds they are just like the cartoon characters we saw many years ago. Stand up straight and when they run they are on the move. Head down and tail out really too cool.
Now this is our place for the day. Wonderful patio, nice view and perfect weather. No need to run around quite yet, this is way to nice here. Been here quite a few times and seen most of the touristy things.
this be the place |
turn the roast after 30 minutes to brown the top about 5 minutes, then back over |
While cooking super we can enjoy a nice sunset right from our patio chairs= perfect!
Just added a small salad tonight anbd we good to go. Lots leftovers, lunches for a few days. The day was wonderful and we have a few things planned for the next week or so other than hanging out here. No matter we just love it here.
Thanks again for your visit hope you had a wonderful day too.

Check out the interactive map below to see where we have been this Winter.
Suzie is looking pretty relaxed. Enjoy the warm temps.
ReplyDeleteWe will make to most of it while it's here.
DeleteIt certainly is a nice place for good weather....but, if the weather girl is to be believed, the temperatures are slated to drop down in the days ahead. No matter what, it is still a nice place to be.
ReplyDeleteIt sure is a nice place to be, it will get cooler but not really cold and we have the sunshine.
DeleteLooks comfy and toasty, pork roast is one of my faves, yours looks great.
ReplyDeleteWe love the roast pork so, so lean, moist and tasty.
DeleteThere is definitely a comfort level going back to places we've been. Like you said there is no need to run around and do the tourist places as we've already been there done that.
ReplyDeleteWe can just take it easy and take in some local things, or return to some places we enjoy.
DeleteI love seeing roadrunners but seldom get a photo of one. One hangs out just down the road and I see it a few times a week... but... no pictures yet. Your meals make me hungry, even though I've just had breakfast ;-)
ReplyDeleteIt is hard to get a picture of the roadrunners.
DeleteNow your can plan that meal for dinner.
We love seeing the roadrunners too - there is something about them…..
ReplyDeleteThey are so cool.
DeleteWhat a great way to spend the day after your long drive. Enjoyed seeing your local Road Runner and your sunset picture was beautiful. Pork Roast looked delicious saw our local Stater Brothers has them on the add for $2.99 lb. think that I will give it a try on the Q tonight, so after browning the top does it go back on the other side for 30 minutes? Looks like we have a bit of rain arriving here late tonight. Have a great Thursday and enjoy that sun.
ReplyDeleteThanks love the Pork loin, turn it back over again, the bottom is slightly charred, but I cook it with the fat on top so that it stays moist. We just cooked Half and saved the other have in the freezer, and still lotsa leftovers, enjoy!
DeleteJust a slice of heaven! :c)
ReplyDeleteYes, yes and we love it!
DeleteCan't wait to see our first road runner of the year.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sky!
Can't wait to meet you guys too!
DeleteJust cooked and finished eating our Pork Roast on the Weber and as per your instructions came out excellent!! Just cooked half like you and more then enough for leftovers. Thanks George
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed, its one of our favorite meals. Soo good on the Q.
