Where are we today ?
Are we enjoying this weather here in Desert Hot Springs? You betcha ! Cold nights, great for sleeping and pretty warm sunny days. Whats not to like? Very little wind today as well, and sunny skies. Not hot but in the 60's and 70s works for us.
Early morning walkabouts I got in a few miles and really enjoyed it.
|
love the sunrise, on the wind turbines in Banning pass |
Then the caution signs around the resort is kinda cool as well. Checked out the swap meet at the upper clubhouse this morning= nothing we need but chatted with a few people.
We enjoyed some reading this the morning in the sunshine and a nice light lunch. Then
Joe and Betty picked us up. Gonna drop Joe off at the airport here as he is flying home for his Uncle Wes' funeral in Oregon. Our prayers are with you Joe.

Leaving the airport |
We dropped Betty back home and enjoyed a wonderful sunny day. Then headed on over to soak in the hot pool (spa) for a while, gotta love it!
|
the pool and spa is a popular spot |
A couple more walkabouts and enjoy reading for a bit until it's too cool to sit outside. That mountain gets in the way of our sunsets.
|
4:15 pm its gone and temps drop |
No problem our plan is to whip up a pizza with a cauliflower crust. And believe it or not tastes really good. No gluten and very light thin crust. The recipe for this cauliflower pizza crust just click
HERE or check by recipe blog on the top right hand side bar of my blog.
|
ready to dress our pizza |
Toppings for us today pizza sauce, no fat mozzarella, turkey kielbossa, turkey burger, onions, fresh mushrooms, fresh tomatoes, jalapeño peppers, black and green olives, works for us. My pizza pan will not fit on our Weber Q or I would have done it there. No problem we have an oven for problems like this.
|
I loaded it up, my side on the right, jalapeño' peppers , and olives are for me. |
|
sure did the trick and almost healthy too |
Then after supper a walkabout by the pool and hot spa . Looks so inviting at night all lit up and very hot still.
|
this be the hot tub/ spa |

I'd be living in the pool/spa if we were there! Helps take the coolness out of your bones.
ReplyDeleteThe pool/spa really does warm you all the way thru. Love it here.
DeleteCan't thank you enough for your help today. That pizza really looks good. I'm going to make it for us when we get back to Oregon in the Spring!
ReplyDeleteNo problem Betty anytime, it was our pleasure.
DeleteIt is a tasty pizza.
Interesting pizza crust. And I can imagine why you would say "eat with a knife and fork".
ReplyDeleteThis is a great recipe, you just need to get over the fact that there's no dough. Very tasty!
Actually I kinda like the no dough aspect of it, nice and light.
DeleteGlad your enjoying great weather...nice looking spa to boot, and no one is going hungry! All the bases are covered!
ReplyDeleteYep all the bases are covered, does it get much better?
DeleteI'm going to have to try that pizza crust.... looks so good.
ReplyDeleteSharon I am sure you would love it.
DeleteLooks like you've found a place you really enjoy. Soaking in the those tubs sure looks inviting.
ReplyDeleteWe do enjoy it here, but will soon be time to move on down the road, in another week.
DeleteAll I have to say is....what a life!!!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah we lovin' it!
DeleteGreat looking pizza, George. You might be spending more time in that hot spa over the next few days as the temps dip a bit - it's all good though as the sun is still shining.
ReplyDeleteThanks Rick, yes the hot spa is just wonderful, what's no to like about it.
DeleteAnd the sunshine is perfect.
The weather is out of your control but everything else is in your control. And, you manage that very well.
ReplyDeleteGreat looking pizza.
Thanks.
DeleteThat's right we take it as it comes and make the best of it.
Damn that pizza looks good ! I'll take Suzie's side though.
ReplyDeleteThanks Denise it sure was tasty.
DeleteEasy does it on all that fun, you don't want to use it all up before your visit is over... :cD
ReplyDeleteNo problem we pace ourselves over 2 weeks then time to move on.
