Sunshine, Arizona Market Place, and meeting up with friends

Where are we today ?
Pretty decent night'.s sleep again, love the cool nights here and dry weather. (rain stopped early last night). Really nothing like being here in the desert.
This morning heading out to the Arizona Marketplace,  in Yuma to once again check out this huge fleamarket. Always something to see and new vendors and deals every year.
Need stuff you just might find it here. Check your prices though as you should always do at these markets.
They open at 9 am and we here shortly after, so not too crowded yet (don't like crowds). Not much we need but found a few deals. Got a new leather belt for $3.00, new antenna cactus, Spaghetti Squash 2 bucks, and a bag of carrots for .60 cents, all good deals.
nice being early no crowds
need stuff? It's here
good deals on produce too
Then we ran into friends from Ontario Canada. Rob and Pat as well as John and Barb. We were done now so stopped by the food court for a Coffee and guess what they had Tim Hortons Coffee, just for us Canadians EH! I don't drink Tim Hortons at home but will have one here.
this be us L-R Suzie, Pat, Barb, John and Me!
Rob took the picture
good entertainment here as well to enjoy
Coffees done and we worked our way back to the car and headed home for lunch. We will catch up with these guys at some point.
We had a bite for lunch and relaxed for a while. About 2 'clock head back to the BLM land behind us to visit with Jeanette and Charlie from Ontario. Met them many years ago and have not seen the for a long time. Fulltime rver's as well for lotsa years.
They were not home but not far away was John and Barb, so we visited with them for a while, catchup we did.  Suzie even got her doggie fix with Hank and Piper.

As we were leaving Jeanette and Charlie were home and sitting outside so stopped in for a very nice short visit. Another doggie fix for Suzie with Toby, he's getting old 14 years now. It was a very nice visit but cooling down and time to head home and whip up supper.
Toby is a wonderful dog too
While we were gone for a couple hours missed a bunch of unexpected company. Three separate couples that I don't think know each other,  Rob and Pat dropped by, Oscar and Judy, as well as Gerrit and Maria. Sorry we missed you guys hope to see you again soon. Amazing we missed you as we are usually home most afternoons and nobody ever stops by, we just read in the shade.
Now time to whip up supper, another favorite of ours. Basa fillet, grilled zucchini, sweet red pepper and of course a salad.
our Weber Q does an amazing job as usual
yep sure did the trick
Just a wonderful day in the sunny warm southwest wandering about and enjoying this nice sunny desert area. Sure hope you had a great day  and thanks for stopping by again.

  1. That's one thing Yuma has in common with Mesa -- the Marketplace. I bet they even have about the same stuff. Looks like you had a great day and certainly enjoyed the nice weather.

  4. We managed to avoid going to the Yuma market. But, we agree that you can always find some good bargains there when one needs something. RV stuff galore!

  5. Just looking at your route so far and I can imagine a visit to the lower mainland and Vancouver in the late spring. If, by any chance that's a possibility we would love to meet you. Enjoy the warm sunny days there.

    Cheers!

  8. What a nice visit to the Arizona Market Place. Nice Suzie is getting plenty of doggie fixes in. We had a bit more rain here then you had along with lot's of wind, but the sun has returned here also. Looks like a bit more is forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday. We will be in DHS and staying at Caliente Springs the same weeks as you are in DHS so hope we can meet up for a beer 30. Have a great Sunday!
