Where are we today ?
Early morning stuff as usual. Walkabouts the resort, into town for a few groceries, Then we can secure our coach for the 1.3 mile drive down the road. our shortest travel day yet since 2006.
Ready to go shortly after 9 am, 15 minutes to secure our coach, 3 minute drive, 10 minute check in and 15 minutes to set up camp again, including our satellite dish. Easy, peasy sure is nice with our motorhome. We have a system we do.

New place to camp |
Now here we have another membership resort. no overnight fees, we like free camping!
Got lucky with a huge site and shade from the Palo Verde trees on the west side = perfect.!
|
we were assigned a perfect site |
After a bite to eat for lunch we toured the resort (its been a few years). Hot tubs, pools, library, mini golf and pickle ball courts. They have it all here if you are so inclined.

Now relaxing in the shade with our books and this truck pulls up in front of our coach. We have company! Wow! We love company!
None other than Allen and Lolita DuGuay of
Allen and Lotitas RV Journey. Long time followers of our blog and fulltime rv'ers. They are not far from here and took us up on the invite from yesterday's posting. " If you can find us drop by anytime". Don't need and appointment here, we are friendly everyday people.
We chatted and we chatted, so nice to finally actually meet fellow bloggers face to face, wow! It sure is an awesome lifestyle meeting all these great people. They even brought their 6 year old puppy Lily, such an active and friendly dog she was.
The conversation flowed and flowed and before we know it they wanted to head back home, not before leaving us with some huge California Oranges they picked up on the way.

awesome looking oranges |
Well they left us and we back to reading for a while in the shade. We do love our books.
|
a nice sunset beginning |
Soon time to prep supper. Pre heat our Weber Q 100, get some hot dogs ready to grill. I stuffed them with cheddar cheese, wrapped with bacon, on the grill with a can of pork and beans.
|
perfect on the grill |
Then chopped up some fresh tomato, onions, add some peanut butter to the buns and the rest of the toppings , boy did we have a feast!
|
Sure hit the spot and took care of the cravings |
Just another fun day, new places and new faces, all was great.
Thanks again for stopping on by for a visit, should have been here.

The fun just keep coming your way and so does the food. Your new park sure looks super too.
ReplyDeleteAlways fun where we go and do enjoy these parks.
DeleteYou two are quite the social butterflies, nice to meet fellow RV bloggers. I don't know about the peanut butter on the hot dogs.
ReplyDeleteIt always nice to meet the real people behind the Bloggers makes their comments more real.
DeleteLike peanut butter, like hot dogs? Why not.
Think I'll stick with onion and ketchup on my dogs. Looks like a great park and the price is definitely a good one.
ReplyDeleteWe use our memberships as much as possible. And most are very nice.
DeletePeanut butter on a hot dog is a first for me....I've never heard of it. I am curious.....might just have to give it a try.
ReplyDeleteNice spot you landed in....
The peanut butter adds a little extra, I like it.
DeletePeanut butter on a hot dog bun is a first for me too! Different...but, then again, I do like peanut butter.
ReplyDeleteGreat to see Allen and Lolita at your site. We had the benefit of a one week visit with them, last winter, while we were in the Caliente' Spa Resort. We hope to see them too, sometime this winter.
Tough moving day.....! But the place looks great.
It was a real surprise that they dropped in and we do love surprises. Too bad they could not stay longer. New places new faces.
DeleteSure glad we got to meet you both, sharing your company made our Sunday an AWESOME one! Enjoy the rest of your DHS stay and hope we meet again down the road! Thanks again for letting us visit and your warm welcome!
ReplyDeleteIt was an AWESOME visit, like I have said drop in anytime. and we look for you guys too on down the road.
DeleteYou find blogger folks wherever you go... and have a great time doing it! What fun !
ReplyDeleteThese blogger folks are all over the country, mostly in the southern USA now. Sure is fun meeting them.
DeleteI love a good hot dog!
ReplyDeleteYep a good old standby, at treat for us.
DeleteAdd me to the list of people that say "Peanut butter on a hotdog !!????"
ReplyDeleteYou sure are meeting a lot of Bloggers this year.
We have never met so many bloggers in all our years of travelling, sure is fun.
DeletePeanut butter is good on most anything.
Hi George, I always get a kick out of you getting a kick out of your life! We love DHS but haven't stayed at that park. Looks like it has lots to offer. Those look like salt cedar trees at your site. If you pull off some of the stringy "leaves" and taste them you will find them very salty! Not hard to see why there are lots of RVing bloggers in SoCal and Q this winter........about the only place not getting beat up by those massive storms! Safe travels.
ReplyDelete- Jodee (ontheroadabode.blogspot.com)
We love life it is awesome! This is a nice resort too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info on the salt cedar trees.
Sounds to me like you are having a great winter. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteWe are loving the weather this winter.
