Where are we today ?
Sunshine and another wonderful day we are having in the desert. After early morning and the sunrise here is wonderful.

Teddy bear cactus, so pretty and very painful |

octello cactus (I think?) |
Few errands and walkabouts in the desert dirt we are loving the wide open spaces. Chatted with Ship our new neighbor, kinda fun discussing cars and rv issues.
Then shortly after noon we heard this motorcycle pull into their suite. Gotta be a Harley and gotta be Sassy's on da road. And yep it was Sassy. She come to visit with Jean and Skip and we want to meet her too! What a woman, has her toy hauler coach to put her Harley in the back. She does this and pretty amazing for this young single, tiny lady not much more than a day over 50 or so, maybe 5 feet tall. I think, she does an awesome job. Oh did I mention she is from eastern Canada as well?
Chatted for a long time, fun and a lot of laughs, we all had a great afternoon. Sassy had to head off and do some laundry but then we just end up chatting with Jean and Skip until time to fire up our Weber Q for supper.
Did we have a great day? yep you betcha, super people

I don't know how you pack so much into one day... what a great life! Friends, Food and all!
ReplyDeleteOur days are not really that busy, we still have time to read for a few hours outside in the sun too.
DeleteWatch out for the babies on those Teddy bear cactus. They will jump right out and grab you!
ReplyDeleteSafe travels to your next "hiding" place.
Yep know all about them, was attacked by a baby in 2007 will never forget that one.
DeleteYou nailed the weather this year George. Northern Florida is certainly NOT where you want to be.
ReplyDeleteSometime we get lucky and have done pretty well the last few years.
DeleteYou just never know where Denise (aka Sassy) and her Harley will show up. We had her visiting and partaking of our activities several times. What fun that must have been to share stories and get a chance to chat.
ReplyDeleteJust think you have hookups in your very near future!
It was oodles of fun meeting her and sharing stories, just too short of a visit. Hookups? WOW!!!
DeleteYou go Sassy.....just read about her on the Bayfield Bunch.

ReplyDeleteSo many Bloggers out here that we have met and many more on down the road.
DeleteBTW, the second photograph is ocotillo (ock-oh-tee-oh). The desert has so many beautiful varieties of cactus.
