Blythe Intaglios and last day here in Ehrenberg...

Where are we today ?
Ehrenberg AZ
Another sunny warm day, so before it gets too hot we did a short 20 minute drive to the Blythe Intaglios. You can check it out HERE if you wish or directions here  to the Intalglios.
A nice drive through the desert on a good paved road, winding towards the mountains until we found the sign.
this be the sign
A dirt road took us back to the where we want to be. A high clearance 4 wheel drive would be nice, but our Saturn did it "very carefully" and very slow.
first one we saw
All these areas are fenced in to prevent vandalism and so they should be. Nobody knows who did them, what they mean and when, but they have been here since they were discovered in the 1930's. By an air plane pilot.
On the way back stopped at this dam, just because we could. It diverts the Colorado river to various areas and canals for irrigation.
Back to the resort  checked out the Cemetery across the road. We were here a few years ago and has not changed. Everybody still dead!
Back home a bite to eat for lunch and just puttered around for a while, Check tires, dump and flush our holding tanks. Chat with a few neighbors. We are on the road in the morning to Desert Hot springs in California.
Relaxed for a while enjoying our books in the shade. Such a wonderful day. Actually not sure it can get much better.
Shortly after 4 o'clock our friends Ron and Loree stopped in for a final "Happy hour" with them for a bit and even brought "Freddie" along to give Suzie another "doggie" fix. Such a friendly puppy he is.
Then I get to whip up supper. What you see below, excellent Fetucine we picked up in Texas last winter, so tasty...
While supper is cooking Suzie can enjoy her book a bit more.
Sunset it not too bad, considering we are in a park
marinated fresh garlic shrimp on our Weber,
about 3-4 minutes a side, low and slow.
Before that was done cooked our Fetucine, made a nice lettuce salad. Cooked pasta and whipped up with a bit of olive oil, garlic, parmesan. Really hit the spot.
a nice tasty, easy supper tonight.
That was our last fun day here time to move on down the road. New places and new faces.
       " California here we come"
Thanks for coming in to visit and if you can find us drop by anytime, we are usually around and welcome everyone.

  2. Interesting! As many times as we've been here, didn't know about that. Today is our last day here too. However, we're backtracking to the Phoenix area for a couple days and then on to Tucson.
