Where are we today ?
Now talk about great weather, the best winter they have had here in years, wow did we get lucky!
Today we are expecting a famous fellow Rver' and Blogger
Rick Doyle to stop by and visit this morning. We have been following each others blogs for a few years and he has helped out with some computer issues to, what a great guy he is! The main reason we came this far west was to meet Rick, oh and enjoy the great weather too, we were so close.
They are spending the winter just down the road and he found it convenient to drop by this morning for a visit after chasing president Obama's visit here in Palm springs and getting some awesome pictures of
Air force One. Check his posting
here.
Rick and his mutzso's (Riley and Molly) arrived and it was like visiting with old friends, but we have never met face to face. This is was too cool. Paulette was busy with here quilting group that she is so dedicated to, maybe another time.

Suzie got here doggie fix |
Conversation flowed and flowed. Where do you start and where do you finish?
|
water is here guys |
|
Then had to get a picture of us together, |
Before we knew it time flew by and Rick had to leave for another commitment, such a short visit.
Then a bite eat for lunch then got an email from
Teresa (a life made simple) they are at the Home Depot in Yucca Valley only about 30 miles from here.
We have followed each others blogs for a couple years too and said if they were in the area we would love to stop by to meet them. We almost met in Missouri last fall.
Thirty five minutes later we spotted them and once again meeting people that feel like close friends but have never met. This blogging community is real amazing.
After greetings and hugs we settled in to chat so much to say, and so little time. Cassia instantly attached herself to Suzie, showing her pictures, toys, and her dinosaur collection.

Cassia, such a sweetie she is |
We settled in to exchange stories, conversation flowed and so much fun to actually meet these real people face to face. Such a young couple travelling and enjoying life, no schedule and exploring this great country we have, following the sun, much nicer than cold Canada in the winter.

Cassia and their Husky Rufus |
Eventually we had to get back home, and prep supper. While I was doing this had an almost nice sunset.
The meal of choice for Suzie was grilled catfish fillets, a rice pilaf and fresh tender asparagus on the grill.

Quick and easy |

so tasty too |
Another busy fun day here in the Palm Springs area of California and meeting two more RV bloggers was an amazing bonus too. Hope we can meet up again soon, safe travels.
Thanks for stopping by for a peak again and hope you had a great day too!

You and Suzie have sure met a lot of folks the past few weeks! I just know you are having a great time! It's so neat that the young couple you met are traveling with their daughter and husky! What an adventure they must be having.....
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing how our paths have crossed, we are all enjoying this great weather and exploring new places.
DeleteI have followed their blog for a couple years they are really enjoying life too.
You guys are really becoming social gadabouts. Isn't it just wonderful to meet fellow bloggers and how easy it is to talk to them. You are definitely living the good life.
ReplyDeleteWe just keep running into all these great people that we probably would otherwise not have met without our blogs. Always some interesting RV experiences that we have had and enjoy to share.
DeleteThanks again for coming to us George and Suzie! So nice to FINALLY meet you two! I think we could have talked the afternoon and evening away. Nice pics!
ReplyDeleteYes FINALLY we did get to meet, felt like we have known each other for years.
DeleteI am sure we could have talked forever, too bad we were not camped closer together.
Travel safe and enjoy the ocean views that Derek is longing for.
What fun... meeting folks through blogging. What a bonus meeting a young family.... And, of course, your dinner looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteYes and they are a fun family, work in the summer and travel in the winter, doing it while you are young is the perfect way to live life.
DeleteYou've not wanted for entertainment as you've certainly created your own. It's nice to finally meet the bloggers you've been following. I'm curious to see who you'll meet next.
ReplyDeleteMost of these meetings just sort of happened, spontaneously, so its real hard to know who else we will meet.
DeleteWhenever our paths cross I guess. But sure is fun!
You two are going to meet just about everyone out there in Blogland. What fun!
ReplyDeleteIt seems that way and like you said it is so much fun!!!
DeleteGlad to see you got to meet Rick sounded like a fun visit with him. Nice pic of you two together. Busy day having the chance to meet your other blogging friends to. Enjoyed seeing all the pic's. Have a great Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteThis is so much fun meeting fellow Bloggers, that we feel like we already know.
DeleteYou have a great day too!
So nice that you were able to meet up with Derek, Teresa and Cassia. It is always nice to be able to meet up with fellow bloggers, that is what is so nice about this blogging community, you feel like friends even before you ever meet up with each other in REAL life. Glad you are having beautiful weather!
ReplyDeleteThey are such a super family enjoying this amazing lifestyle. Someday we hope to meet you guys too.
DeleteYou two are clearly the social butterflies of the RV world, these past several days. Meeting blogger friends is good. I would have enjoyed sitting in on your discussion with Rick on the merits of 'boon docking v. resort hook ups'. I'm sure it was a fun discussion.
ReplyDeleteCan't believe we have met so many bloggers this winter, feast or famine.
DeleteWe enjoy both types of rving for different reasons and for us they both work everybody has their preferences. It was a fun discussion.
Pretty awesome indeed!!!
ReplyDeleteYes it sure was.
DeleteI missed this post. Meeting two Bloggers in one day is a bonus! Yes, isn't Cassia a wonderful kid! She just takes to this lifestyle like she has done it all her life. ;) It is fun watching her take Rufus for a walk, Rufus lets her lead him and walks nicely right beside her. But when Derek takes him for a walk, Derek if pretty much pulled to wherever Rufus wants to go.
ReplyDeleteThey are a super couple and Cass such a sweetie too.
