Sunday a nice warm late summer day, just wrapping up a few things before we hit the road in the morning.

Where are we today ?
clic a pic for more
Another cool night again but sure is nice for sleeping with our windows open bit and no heat on, Preparing us for our winter desert camping, that we are chomping at the bit to do.
Got a few walkabouts early this morning as usual and by 9 am was in shorts again.
this bunny is liking our grass and weeds here, nice to see hm stop by
almost every morning
Shortly after 9 am Suzie sorted the laundry and I took to the laundry mat around the corner in Arkona, to get things all clean again. While the machines did the work I relaxed in the car with my e-reader. A pretty nice way to do laundry I would say.  Out of the dryers and folded home by 11:30 for a light tasty lunch.
Now to read again outside enjoying this wonderful summer weather, did get to 76F  (24C) today so not too bad at all. We are heading out in the morning so I do my normal stuff, check tire pressures and oil. Secure our awning, Have a nice long hot shower, shave and a hair cut. Me good to go again.
Back to our reading and enjoying more of this wonder weather. No complaints here.
was a great afternoon
Eventually time for supper tonight a can of Bush's baked Beans heated on our Weber Q. A nice easy way to heat them up.
Then we  grilled a couple of Wagyu Beef and Lobster Burgers, Very tasty burgers that we picked up in Hanover Ontario earlier this summer.
While supper was cooking Maya dragged Walt by on her walk, she wanted a Suzie Fix and of course a couple of small treats.
Doggie fix for Suzie as well.
Burgers and beans on our Weber Q sure hit the spot.
Bush's Beans and burger  was wonderful
A pretty wonderful Sunday as the campground is emptying out after the weekend ,so nice and quiet once again.
Now enjoying nice warm summer, bug free evening outside. Posting this blog and more reading time in, Yup we can handle that. As it cools down everything stowed away so we can head on out in the morning head down towards our good friends place near Turkey Point on Lake Erie.
Not a bad relaxing day at all and sure hope yours was wonderful as well.
Where have we been this summer ?

  1. 'Turf and Surf' burgers! ... not a combination that I'm aware of, but sound delish! Safe travels as you move south.

  4. Beef and Lobster burgers are new to me.... I like your way of cooking beans. Made me think of photos I've seen of old hobo camps... except I don't think they ever had lobster.. ;-)

    1. The burgers are new to us as well, a nice change they were. Cooking beans or canned goods on the grill I have done for years, no dirty pots and pans.

  5. Ken cooks beans the same way you do and they turn out perfect. Love how you and Suzie divide up your chores, we basically do the same thing and no one gets overworked haha..Looking forward to posts from the Lake Erie area!

This is why we began this lifestyle 11 years ago so that we can move around, have always had the wandering itch since I was a kid. And we both enjoy it.
