Much warmer overnight. And we had a great sleep windows wide open. I went outside just before 8 am and on our patio was a racoon! As soon as he saw me he scurried away, under the coach and gone! Did not see it again all day that's a good thing too.A nice walkabout town for about and hour and spotted these 2 white (Emden) Geese walking down the sidewalk and into someones yard, Just out for a stroll just like me I guess.
Emden Geese |
After lunch got some nice reading time in and a few short walkabouts. But was getting warm . In the shade under our awning with no breeze was 98f (36C), so a dip in the pool was called for just to get all refreshed and cooled down, perfect.
what a great summer day |
this is where we enjoy our reading time |
heading down the road to Stratford |
Most everyone here in Queens Park |
close to the playground for the young ones |
Once we all there the food was uncovered and we all dug in. I picked up some KFC and another bucket for here cousin Gail, Suzie jut said as kids they always had KFC when they picnicked here so that was here request. Lots a wonderful tasty salads, even a pizza casserole was excellent, thanks Rose
it was all so tasty |
deserts, cheery cheesecake, peach pie, tiny donuts and cookies |
The band members began filling in and setting up on the stage. Excellent music I guess they do these concerts frequently here in the summer.
Then eventually we manage togged everyone in one place so that could get a nice group picture of some of Suzie cousin and family.
that was all that could make it today, sorry it is not really clear |
Glad you dropped on by and hope your day was a great one as well.
Where have we been this summer ?
I love the cousin reunions. There's always so much catching up to do and especially nice when they are the ones we were raised around.
ReplyDeleteI have known them all over 25 years but Suzie was raised with them, it was a fun afternoon.
DeleteWhat a nice way to spend an afternoon visiting with family.

DeleteBeautiful day for a reunion, good times with family!
ReplyDeleteEither your thermometer date is off or you were up at 1:30 AM taking a picture this morning!
It was definitely a hot day but not that hot here, thankfully we have a nice breeze so we could complete our jobs!
Oops never noticed the date it was 1:30 pm, it's only been year and never caught it before LOL...
DeleteYou do have some nice breezes there perfect for the hot days.
Nice you got your jobs done.
Patsy has good eyes :) Good reading the reunion post. Could do with more sunny hot days here in NL.
DeleteYes she does over a year and I did not notice it, fixed now. Good luck with warmer weather.
DeleteLooks like a fun (but hot) way to spend the day.
ReplyDeleteIt was fun but we don't mind the heat, was nice in the park late afternoon.
DeleteWhat a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteYes Jan it sure was.
DeleteHmmm, got KFC on my mind now... beautiful weather! Here too. We're expecting a wind shift, hopefully the smoke will clear a bit.
ReplyDeleteThe KFC was a nice treat and of course got all cleaned up. Good luck with the smoke clearing.
DeleteNow that's a great gathering of family! It can get hard to stay in touch as families grow, but so worth the effort. And live music just for the occasion :)
ReplyDeleteIt was a wonderful gathering as most were able to make it. And Music was wonderful too.
DeleteA perfect location for a family get together, music and all. Any chance Rose might share her pizza casserole recipe? I'm getting tired of the taste of smoke.
ReplyDeleteIt was perfect, the playground for the kids and the band, I will check wth Rose and see if she can sen me off the recipe and I will forward to you ok? Hopefully Your smoke will go away soon.
