After a fun time at the wedding last night, we up and at it by 6:30 this morning I posted the follow of the wedding pictures this morning. The 4 of us had been invited to Rob and Pat's in Durham for a breakfast/brunch.  I had volunteered to help with some of the cooking so we headed in at 9:30. We chatted for a few minutes with the bunch there that stayed over. In case you wondering the wedding was held at the Events Centre of Ground Effect Landscaping just outside of Hanover
They had lots of leftover food from the caterers so put that out and I set to work shredding a bunch of the cooked potatoes for home fries. Rob set up 3 griddles outside in the carport. First I cooked up a couple of lbs of bacon, 3 lbs of sausage, and the potatoes.

roast beef heated up too
A couple of the ladies were inside toasty up some leftover buns from last night, and brought out the fruits and veggies trays, cold cuts, condiments, plates and napkins, Patsy poured some tomato and orange juice, Suzy took a mess of pictures for me.
We ready for a feast, and we feasted a couple of dozen of us there
chatting, telling stories and still having too much fun.
a few sat on the front porch
lotsa laughs here

After a fun morning and filling our tummies we headed back to the Ridge, A very big thank you to Rob, Pat, Bill and Sandra for the fun times and beautiful wedding. Also nice to meet more of their family as well.
Back at the Ridge we can relax on a beautiful warm sunny afternoon so peaceful and quiet on their beautiful summer camping home. We just relaxed, got some more reading done, I finished another book and started into another page turner.
Checked our tire pressures and stored our Weber Q (no supper tonight after that tasty brunch)  Taking it easy after a hectic 24 hours. We are on the road again back to Plattsville in the morning for about a week, just cause we can, don't want to overstay our welcome here.
a beautiful warm sunny day
loving it
I did take a nice walk down the laneway enjoying this little bit of heaven they have here.
spotted this chipmunk on a fence post at the end of the lane
very cute and entertaining they are
Reading a bit more then suddenly at 6:30 the skies opened up, So we quickly stored out chairs and scrambled inside. 15 minutes later the sun came back out so back out we go just because we can.
So there that was the day after the wedding and all the planing paid off with everything going so smoothly.
Thanks for stopping by and hope you are enjoying the great weather on this mid summer long weekend (at least for most of us Canadians) .

Where have we been this summer ?

  1. Nice that you were able to lend a hand with Brunch and everyone had a good time.
I know you are trying not to overstay your welcome but with tomorrow being the Holiday and lots of people needing to get back home it might be safer to wait until Tuesday.
    Be Safe and Enjoy!

    It's about time.

    1. Had too much fun as well always do with these people. We are just taking the back roads from one country place to another that we have done for many years in the past, we will encounter very little traffic.
