Much warmer last night, bedroom window open was wonderful ! And so much nicer this morning. A couple very refreshing walkabouts the campground this morning as the sun was rising. So quiet, so peaceful here. Off season is the way we love it!mostly sunny blue skies all day |
Then a friend we have not seen since last fall (Larry), In Albuquerque NM, stopped by to chat for a while. Catch up we did, they spent the summer at Galvin Bay Resort near Buckhorn Ontario, our other home membership park where we will spend some time this summer as well.
Relocated and all set up again time for a hearty lunch. Today for a rare treat gonna make some bacon, eggs and fried potatoes on our Weber Q. We got this Grill Mat last year and works wonderful for a few things, especially this meal.
The secret is to make sure it is perfectly level so that the eggs do not slide off the edge.
this does a wonderful job, non stick mat easy clean ! |
Brunch on our Weber Q |
Tucker came by for a visit today on his own! He saw Suzie outside and made a mad dash for her. Got off his leash. He got his hugs, and rubs even a tiny treat. His Mum came to get hm with the leash and she stopped for a very nice visit as well.
Tucker loves Suzie, or is it the other way around? |
That was our fun day here, outside, sunshine and warm weather. This is what we love to do.
Thanks for taking a peek and I just know you had an amazing day as well.
Check out the interactive map below to see where we have been this summer
All sounds great. We have had such rainy weather that breakfast is always infdoors.
ReplyDeleteYou will have some wonderful weather soon, no doubt .
DeleteGreat looking lunch!
ReplyDeleteWas a very tasty treat .
DeleteGlad you've got good weather, nice to get back into your regular routine.
ReplyDeleteLoving the weather and settling down for a few weeks.
DeleteCrikey ..... how'd you know??? I DID have an amazing day. We it's not over yet but so far so good!! Tell Suzie she's gotta stop giving that Tucker bloke treats or he'll be too fat to jump up on her lap, aye??
ReplyDeleteCharlie you always have amazing days. It's not the tiny treats that she gives Tucker I am sure. Tucker will be disappointed though.
DeleteAn unlevel home for 3 weeks would have driven me spare. Glad you sorted that out. Good decision I say.
ReplyDeleteYeah we thought it was ok, but settled a bit in the soft spring ground.
DeleteNever heard of a Grill Mat. I will have to check it out. Paul loves potatoes on the grill.
ReplyDeleteThe Grill Mat works great for all these things including items when you use BBQ sauce keeps the grill clean and still leaves grill marks.
DeleteI, too, am going to have to find a grill mat.... I use a wire basket to grill veggies so they don't fall through into the coals. Is that a little fountain or pool in your 2nd photo?
ReplyDeleteThe mat is easy clean too, non stick.
DeleteThat is actually a fire pit in the second photo, every site has one. Old truck rims sunk in the ground, just need to be careful not to fall into them especially after dark.
Now that is the breakfast of champions - made me hungry.
ReplyDeleteIt was a very nice treat that we always enjoy !
DeleteWe bought a Grill Mat too but really haven't used it much. I guess that's because we usually do the eggs inside.
ReplyDeleteLove those puppy fixes !
Puppy fixes are wonderful.
DeleteAs you know I prefer to cook outside as much as possible.
some people don't understand that doing nothing IS doing something
ReplyDeleteThat is so true !
DeleteQuality time together is wonderful !
That was one problem I faced during my Coast Guard cutter days, we always had scrambled eggs because the cutter rocked and rolled so much the eggs would slide all over the place. I still have a hard time to this day eating scrambled eggs, because I ate too many of them. Give me sunny side up any day! :cD
ReplyDeleteYep that's for me sunny up is the way. Scrambled the odd occasion no coast guard for me though.
DeleteThe mat is incredible. We bought our first Weber Q about six months ago and then a second for almost 50% off. Don't know why it was so cheap but Home Depot here in Mexico had four of them for that price. I guess we'll keep one in the rv and one at home. Anyway, the mat really does work and now I am going to try fried eggs. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteChris ya gotta love the Weber Q, and the mat does a nice job for most things. Make sure your grill is perfectly level so the eggs don't slide off, enjoy !
