Where are we today ?

Another wonderful day here, much warmer and sunshine, really gotta love it ! Now in shorts and t-shirt before noon, perfect for this time of year. Ran a few errands real early. Suzie has now finished washing the walls and ceilings today. Now when the weather is conducive we will steam clean the carpets and upholstery. Then after that do the woodwork stuff with a preservative/wax/whatever.
Afternoon puttering around reading our e- readers outside. Loree and Freddy stopped by to chat. (always meet people when we are outside) and we are most of the day. A very nice short visit with them.

Then this afternoon we gonna have a "Happy(social) Hour") shortly after 3 pm with a few friends or whoever stops by. All the problems of the world solved and even exchange ideas and plans.

Then soon time for supper. Tonight a couple pan fried Haddock fillets in our favorite Garlic and Butter Fish Crisp. The cast Iron skillet works wonderful on our Weber Q.

Now outside to enjoy this excellent warm weather and read a bit more. Friends stopped by to chat for a while and enjoyed some conversation. Until we headed inside about 9:15. Starting to cool down. But I was still in shorts and t-shirt. This is the kinda weather we enjoy! Will cool down a bit but is on the upswing to summer time.
Now there ya go we did nothing today but got a lot done, that's what happens when you are full time and retired.

DeleteSounds like a nice relaxing day! We are also giving Sherman a good deep cleaning before handing him over to the people who will be borrowing him next month.

DeleteI'm going to quit fretting about weight... I'm going to get rid of cleaning supplies and such weighty stuff and bring on board my cast iron skillet, my Cuisinart, and a few other of my favorite things. I dragged out my Cuisinart from the barn storage area today... cleaned it up... took a whole head of cauliflower and made it into tiny BB size bits.... bought a roll of parchment paper... and tomorrow is PIZZA day... George style!!!! Enough just looking at your great food and your ways of preparation. Now... I've got to find that cast iron skillet somewhere in the barn.

DeleteGreat idea to use the cast iron skillet on the Weber. Have to try that one day myself.
ReplyDeleteIt works pretty good as long as it is not too cold outside and you keep the lid closed.
