A wonderful sunrise right here at our dining room table in our coach shortly after 6 am. This is almost like camping in the South West desert. Nice walkabout town this morning and home by 8 am take Suzie into her Naturopath for 9 am and I whipped over to the wholesaleclub in Waterloo for another box of our favorite coffee.
|
walking down river road |
Home by 10 am and a quick grocery run for me to New Hamburg (Suzie hates shopping)
|
pick up these Strawberries, 2 lbs for $2:97 all the way from California, not great but better than none for the price |
Home for nice light lunch then I can hop on the mower. She going to help her Dad with the Mennonite Relief sale this weekend. This year is the 50th anniversary and Suzie has been involved off and on over the years and her Dad is still involved. So we will be there with bells on LOL...
3 Hours to finish off cutting this 5 acre hay field here. But the weather was perfect ! 85f sunshine and blue skies, just the way I like it.

5 acres of dandelions gone to seed |

crab apple blossoms |

|
looks better now |
Now to relax a bit with my ereader in the shade. Suzie home by 4:30 we can have 1/2 of a happy hour then whip up supper. Picked up some Honeygarlic ribs a while ago on sale $5:97, so just slap them on the grill mat to warm up and glaze a bit. along with some fresh picked asparagus.

We just got some strawberries from a local Mennonite farm market and they tasted like the ones I grew up on - delicious, especially as a milkshake.
ReplyDeleteNothing quite like local fresh strawberries, soon be ready here
DeleteStrawberries are in season here in the Ohio Valley... sweet and oh! so delicious! Outside? Yes! Even able to sit on the patio to have dinner last night. Only an occasional cicada (do you have those up your way?)
ReplyDeleteStrawberries not quite in season here yet. Much better than the imported ones but much more expensive.
DeleteNice that you can enjoy some nice outside weather again. Don't think we have cicadas here some areas mosquitoes, black flies and deer flies.
Well, I guess we'll have ribs tonight... Or maybe Souvlaki with Greek salad... So many decisions.
ReplyDeleteMowing five acres must be therapeutic.
So many great choices for dinner, my biggest decision of the day.
DeleteIt is very therapeutic.
Sounds like another great day in paradise for sure !
ReplyDeleteIt sure was.
ReplyDeleteYes, we do enjoy the nice weather as well, even though it started with some fog this morning.
ReplyDeleteWell you can expect fog on the coast, but the war weather is wonderful.
