Rain over night and drizly off and on most of the day. Overcast but not too cold got up to 48f (9c), that's a good thing. A few walkabouts town between the drizzle was nice and refreshing and oh so quiet. Love quiet. Some reading and computing for a bit then a nice light lunch. Love our Mr. Heater keeps us toasty warm and uses minimal propane.Being it was a Sunday afternoon, we found a wonderful adventure, comedy, fantasy movie on TV. "Night at The Museum" where the nightwatchman at the museum of natural history discovers that the exhibits come alive after the building closes. Got quite a few laughs for the next 2 1/2 hours. What a great way to spend a dreary Sunday afternoon.
Then another walkabout down river road for a while, no rain or wind but so peaceful again, Listening to the birds in the trees, geese flying over and the babble of the river over some small rapids.
geese making a heck of a noise |
a marsh/ swamp on the other side of the road |
back into town down river road |
sure was tasty |
Tomorrow we head out to Rock Glen resort for a few weeks, see what trouble we can get into there, then? Never sure what our next move will be, just the way we love it !
Glad you stopped by and hope your day was as wonderful and relaxing as ours.
Check out the interactive map below to see where we have been this summer
You're right in that Sunday is supposed to be a day of rest. However, that doesn't mean we always rest!
ReplyDeleteNot always but it's nice to try sometimes.
DeleteGreat way to spend a rainy day!
ReplyDeleteWe thought so, worked for us.
DeleteSo green there! I haven't had Shake and Bake for years... might have to check it out one of these days.... sure looked good.
ReplyDeleteSure is greening up pretty nicely with this rain can almost see the grass growing and leaves popping out.
DeleteThe Shake and Bake was a nice treat for a change, very tasty.
Hi Kids
ReplyDeleteI LOVED Night at the Museum. Have taken my son, and now his kids to that museum so many times! Fun to see it come alive that way. Glad you guys are doing well. Cheers! Clancy

I'm sure the mower appreciated the day off, too! ;c)
