Where are we today ?

Went to bed an hour later last night (10pm) and actually slept until almost 6 am this morning ! amazing. Missed the sunrise but still got out for a few nice walkabouts. This being Saturday of the long weekend the campground is pretty full. Lots of young families out here having fun, really nice to see. Yep they can be a bit noisy, but that just reminds me of our kids and my younger days. They be gone after the weekend and all will be quiet again. A non issue as far as we are concerned, part of the lifestyle.Paul sent me this and I think it suits me. |
Rv's on both sides of us |
Ron cooking , burgers hotdogs and sausage for lunch at the clubhouse |
We have this green space behind us is nice |
Then Happy hour at our place because we want to cook a chicken on our Weber Q and will not leave it unattended. It is so nice to chat and catch up with our friends for an hour or so when we are together.
Just after 5 pm our chicken was perfectly done on our Weber Q, grilled some fresh asparagus for a couple minutes , so sweet and tender, added to our salad, sure hit the spot. Lots of leftovers for lunches and soup.
Then outside after supper and a nice evening chatted with a few neighbors for a while them down to the clubhouse at 8pm and check out the Band, Lindsay Burns and the Lonelies. We listened for and hour and then at their break played very loud music so we packed up and headed on out.
Almost back home and Larry and Cynthia spotted us, we were invited to join their campfire, No problem we grabbed our chairs and jackets, met everybody and enjoyed some lively conversation sharing on the road experiences.
By the time we got home after 11 pm way too late to think about posting so hit the sack and work on it for a bit early Sunday when I get up. We don't plan these types of day, just go with the flow and always enjoy them. The Holiday weekends are always busier especially when the weather is wonderful.
love our chicken |
