We found the Big Snake !

Where are we today ?
This morning perfect weather again. Right of the bat at 7 am I am shorts and t shirt. Walkabout and a drive about town to explore a bit like I usually do. but we had more important things to do today, Wanna go  find the big stone snake in the hills behind us.
Now you have to know we are not hikers. I like my walkabouts but no so much Suzie. She is fine with that but when I wanna hike not a good idea to go alone.
So she put on her shoes and backpack and we headed on out.  Water bottles and hiking sticks.
Parked the car a heading over that hill
up we go
She made it 90 % of the way then opted to wait for me. Oh pooh it was wonderful. made it to the top and found the snake! Sure wish she had been here with me!
It was the last 20 feet over the top and the rest was easy.
Made it and here it is !
Yahoo !
Up close and personal
Found the snake now to find Suzie and head back down with her.
She still there waiting for me and we head back down the hill to the car.
we were up there a tiny Flag at the top
Now home to whip up a couple bowls of chicken noodle soup for lunch from the cornish hen we enjoyed last night.
tasty lunch
Then just relax and putter around for a while, enjoying the 80+ F weather in the shade.
Also picked up 6 gallons of water so I could have a shower, we are getting low.
I whipped on down the road to pick up some very tasty oranges from a roadside stand. What a deal, 5 LB bag only $3.00 and they are soo good !
so fresh a juicy
Chatted with a few neighbors for a bit and enjoyed our e-readers.
Time for a cold one and I tried this very very tasty!
so peaceful, sunny and warm, love it !
inside temps but quite nice
 outside in the shade
This morning I stopped at the local grocery store to pick up some fresh Chorizo from  the butcher there. George and I sampled the other day and I loved it ! So I made 4 burger patties just for me. Too spicy for Suzie. So one of them for me tonight and Turkey burger for her.
add a caesar salad and did the trick
Of course another desert sunset to wrap up our day.
      Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Holy cow, good job on the hike. Now, if you just continue to do that, and a little more every couple of days, next thing you know you'd be hiking like us!

  12. I'm so glad I introduced you to Mexican chorizo. So I see you did not go from where the RV is but drove to the spot we talked about, yes? I had a great time again visiting with you guys. I also see you liked my idea of the beer & tomato juice. Still safer than a martini.

  13. Congrats on the successful hike, including Suzie. I think 90 percent of the way is a good thing. Love looking at those temperatures, while we still have snow trying to melt in our 50 degree days.
