Where are we today ?
Last night perfect for sleeping, windows open fresh dry air is nice and a breeze. 57 f at 4:30 this morning does not get much better than this. Up to 90 f but in the shade we have mid 70's and a wonderful breeze, in the sun 100 f , pretty brutal.
love this Slingshot, looks like a cool, ride |
Got a few errands done and made another pot of chicken noodle soup. From last nights grilled chicken on our Weber Q. As you should know we love homemade soups of any kind, Chicken too.
very tasty lunch |
A few walkabouts today a little over 3 miles here and there, love this weather. Then some quality reading time in the shade with a nice breeze=perfect!
the pool was inviting, but not today |
Then time to whip up supper. Tonight a couple shrimp kabobs on the grill with a salad sure hit the spot.
After supper into Yuma to meet up with friends from a long time ago and new ones too. Pat had worked with me in my restaurant way back in the early 90's. And even ran the restaurant when Suzie and I were on our Honeymoon. She was my saviour and right hand person at the time. Support and an amazing woman to work with. Not only that, all her local family and friends that she knew here in town. The Hunters came here for huge meals during hunting season we had a real special connection that I don't think has ever gone away, memories forever.
We moved apart and she went out west. Presently they live and work in Alberta Canada and are here on a whirlwind tour of the southwest visiting with friends Linda and her husband. Was so nice that we could get together with them if even for a short time tonight.
That's us, Pat's husband Mike took the picture Thanks Mike. Me and Pat on the left. |
Finally time for us to head on home getting past our bedtime almost. Memories were made again today. Later posting than normal but we are good to go.
Thanks for taking a peek today and really hope you had a wonderful day as well.
