Where are we today ?
Much warmer last night gotta love it, bedroom window open and wonderful dry desert air No plans today just walkabouts and putter around relaxing. And no company other than Denis and Sandy parking, here chat for a few minutes and walk over to the Big Tent. Had an interesting sunrise and an amazing sunset.
Our friends Jim and Lucille said so long, travel safe and headed back to the winter base at Casa Grande Az about 9 am. Hope to see them again down the road, no doubt we will.

interesting sunrise |
Checked out the dump station about 10 am 18 rigs in line about a 2 hour wait. Back home to whip up some chicken noodle soup from yesterday's chicken carcass on the Weber Q.
|
at the dump station saw this ultralite cruising overhead |
Made the chicken soup for lunch perfect, with some banana, apples and blueberries.
|
love homemade soups |
Then putter around for a while and enjoy our e readers for some quality reading time under the awning, shorts, t shirts and sandals, love the desert afternoons. Usually very hot from 11 am till about 4 pm.
|
a few rigs left the area this morning giving us lots space |
Wandering about the vendors yesterday selling hot dogs etc.. and got a craving. $3.00 for a hot dog and $4.00 for fries, not likely this year. So for 2 bucks picked up some hot dog buns had the hot dogs in the freezer as well as all the toppings on hand and a can of beans. So that was tonights supper. It's been a while and sure did the trick.
|
dogs and beans on the weber Q no dishes for Suzie again! |
Loaded hot dogs, mustard, relish, tomatoes, onions , mayo and peanut butter, Let's go all out !
|
yep pretty tasty |
|
and another amazing desert sunset |
In the morning early we gonna secure the coach, stop at the dump station, fill our fresh water and find a suitable spot for bloggerfest at Laposa South. Toni and Doug Laird

Glad to hear that the weather is cooperating. It's nice to know we can stay warm when every where else it has been so cold.
ReplyDeleteNo complaints from us, maybe a bit cooler than last year, but sure is a lot nicer than what we had to go thru last winter Ontario. Love the bright sunshine and clear blue skies here.
DeleteCrikey I bet the bloggerfest is going to be fun!!
ReplyDeleteToo bad you won't be here Charlie there will be lots of four legged friends here too.
DeleteIt will be fun to socialize and meet some fellow bloggers'
You will enjoy meeting Toni and Doug. Toni will be nonstop to make the Bloggerfest a success. You two will do a great job.
ReplyDeleteThanks looking forward to meeting them.
DeleteAw shucks Marsha - my reputation proceeds me. I am the social one.
ReplyDeleteThere ya go we will have fun no matter what. I have fun everyday.
DeleteChicken soup, beans and hot dogs sounds like good eats to me. We're in Lafayette, LA for a couple of weeks and pigging out on Cajun and seafood - I've discovered I really like good Boudin. So far the winter weather is staying above us and we're keeping our fingers crossed.
ReplyDeletesounds like fun ,love cajun food too, we were there nov 2014.
Deletethe weather awesome here.
I'm betting that your grill made better tasting hotdogs than those $3.00 ones... those prices sound awfully high to me. Guess you ask what the market will pay.... But we'd be more like you and opt for doing it ourselves.
ReplyDeleteYe thats what we do..
DeleteLove anything on the grill.
Peanut butter in a hot dog? That a typo or for real??
ReplyDeleteNo typo peanut but on a hot dog have done that almost forever.
DeleteNot this year, either. Missed last year, too. Next year, could happen, third time just might be the charm. :c)
ReplyDeleteThat's right third time is a charm, I know !
DeleteLooking forward to reading about your great event.
ReplyDeleteIt will be fun meeting some bloggers face to face.
DeleteAlways nice to be able to leave the windows open at night for sleeping. A day without a particular plan always turns in to a great day.
ReplyDeleteCelebrating the Dance
